We also support guys who have potential like David Haye and Amir Khan, yet when they underperform we criticise them for it. We get on board with guys like Danny Williams and Matt Skelton when they are fighting foreigners because they show great heart, that doesnt mean that we are above criticising them either.
who has Calzaghe really fought, Jeff Lacy? Who has Hatton really fought besides Zoo? Calzaghe doesn't deserve some criticism for that performance against BIKA? Hatton doesn't deserve criticism for not rematching Collazo when he said he would or for going back down in weight and fighting Urango for the IBF belt and then releasing it? He doesn't deserve criticism for hugging Urango for the last 6 rounds or for saying he is going to fight Floyd every year next year and then turn around and turn down a fight with him and criticize his style of fighting in the same breath?

Do you have the ability to read what you bolded?

Criticising someone is hardly the same as booing them. Both deserve and get criticisism. Booing is where you are so annoyed/frustrated/bored with a fighter that you feel you have to voice your dissapproval by literally booing their performance. Criticism is where you feel dissatisfied with certain things that they have done in their career and things that they ought to rectify. Its nowhere near as strong as booing. Calzaghe and Hatton have both fought everyone put in front of them, they have both DEFEATED EVERYONE put in front of them. They are both showing a willingness to take the big fights in this stage at their career and although neither of them have been perfect throughout each individual fight, their careers SO FAR are spotless with everything that they have done to date.

Just stop it. Hatton and Calzaghe are wonderful fighters. Be more positive brother. They are entertainers. In Calzaghe's case we have a truly unqiue fighter, one who is probably better than any fighter anywhere in his weight range (If you think Taylor's as good as Calzaghe . . . well let's not argue this in this thread). In Hatton's case we have an exciting fighter with limitations but who knows how to win.

I'd take them over a Floyd Mayweather any day, but that's just me. I'm not asking you to agree. But I am asking you to stoo being negative. Be as much unlike SIN and El Temible as possible; don't act like you have something against people and fighters from accross the pond.

No, Hatton. You implied Hatton had been booed, no?

          I know Floyd has.

I'm still not keen on this "we" thing.... Brits are individuals, same as Fat Yanks.

By 'we', I mean 'Brits like myself'.

I dont particularly like talking for the average Brit, because I'm not one. Every nation has its share of idiots.
