Good luck with that because i don't see how Hatton could call him boring when to me the Baldomir fight was more entertaining than his fight last month. It started off pretty good until Urango ripped his insides out and the hugging began after every exchange.Comment

I'd probably agree with you on that, largely because (even before the hugging started) it was obvious from round two that Urango's footwork was so ****ty that he could never win. But that's just their latest fights.
And note that I never said I AGREED with him, I'm just saying how HE could conceivably justify the statement.Comment

Either way, you're a hypocrite. We have two fighters who both talk **** about their opponents, but you have no problem with one while vehemently hating the other...Comment
-
When did I say I have no problem with Hatton slating Floyd? You never even asked me if I did.
Go on, set up another strawman argument...Comment
-
I guess you just jump to Hatton's defense everytime for no reason. I've never heard you once defend Floyd from the same criticism...Comment

The reason I jump to his defense (your words) is that criticism of him is nearly always OTT and unwarranted on here. Hatton only has to say "I think I might have a chance at beating Floyd" and people on here will say he ****s kittens. The guy's not a favourite, and has clear limitations, but he's a couple of notches above a "no skillz bum, LMAO, pwn!"
Conversely, I don't need to defend Floyd as he gets overdefended on here anyway.
I'll give you another example - I once "defended" John Ruiz on this board when he was taking too much heat. Granted, Ruiz is crap, but the criticism was above and beyond IMO. Does that make me a Ruiz "nuthugger"? I guess not, as I'm not Puerto Rican. But I can't enter a converse about Hatton because I'm a "Brit" so that means I must be his biggest fan, right?
It's hilarious, because I'm probably one of the few guys around here who does talk about it objectively...Comment

Hatton's got plenty of fans here that jump to his defense just as Floyd fans do the same for their fighter. If you are truly being objective, you would defend Floyd for the same things. The difference between the latest comments of Floyd and Hatton are pretty clear, I find it hard to believe that you cant see the distinction.
Hatton says stuff like "I really respect and admire Floyd, he is an incredible ring technician, but his style of counter-hit and not get hit tends to lead to boring fights. I am confident that my style would make it very difficult for him and would lead to me winning". Whereas Floyd says stuff like "Hatton does not deserve to be in the same ring as me, he isnt fit to tie my boot laces. I will destroy him and then he will mow my garden and shine my shoes".
Surely you can see why its easier to defend the statements of one than the other, right?Comment
