hhahah that interview was funny...and then they have a oscar interview on there as well...it seems oscar is only 1 inche taller then floyd compare them both standing next to the interviewer...

floyd is 5 feet 7 inches tall so that means oscar must be like 5 feet 8 or 9.

i find it funny that oscar picked the bears, and floyd picked the colts...the colts one does that say anything.

I read the first 2 pages and concluded that Floyd was correct, as was Mech, and as was the guy with ¨Ibox¨ in his avatar.

For the record, kick my legs, and watch your head get taken off by one of my punches you dont see coming, as you are off balance with your kick.

The punch power of a boxer compared to an MMA fighter is not even worth thinking about. And any boxer stands a chance of killing an MMA fighter in a street fight with a punch, just as any MMA fighter has a chance of killing a boxer with a takedown and subsequent punches or kicks given that the boxer knows absolutely nothing about self defence in that situation.

I think UFC can be pretty good but come on deep down all MMA fans know in their hearts that it aint **** compared to boxing. UFC is just WWE but real. Boxing is two men scrapping it out with their fists, aint nothing better than that.

UFC just reflects the society we live in today. In the olden days it wasnt cool to hit someone when they were down. Today men fight likes bitches and UFC reflects this.

if a great boxer can avoid any kind of a clinch(which is next to impossible) than he has a good chance of beating a great MMA fighter, but once a fighter that knows more than boxing gets his mits on a fighter that only knows one style of striking, it's over for the boxer, boxers have ZERO ground game, and ZERO defense from submissions(standing or on the ground), boxers know nothing about passing a guys guard on the ground or how to sprawl to avoid shooting take downs, sweeps, throws, etc.

you guys are dumb as **** if you think the best boxer could beat the best MMA guy in a street fight, dumb as ****, there is TOO MUCH DEPTH IN MMA FOR A BOXER TO DEFEND AGAINST HIS ATTACK IN A STREET FIGHT, with just boxing.

if boxing is so superior why don't the millitary train guys to Box in the battlefield verses knowing MMA, because that's what the forces use is different styles and techniques to fight to the death, not boxing. in a real life fight situation your fist a liability rather than a weapon, if you break, sprain, or injure one of you hands during a fight it's useless, now if you knew better ways of striking and knew other means of fighting you could preserve your natural weapons and have a chance at winning the fight, you break your fist it's over in a street fight, over for the guy who is down a natural weapon!

boxing is great as a sport but is no way a reliable source of self defense in real life violence.

The best way to describe the fighters of the UFC is that they are jack of all trades and masters of none. I would rather watch boxing and watch athletes that have taken the time to master something. My first love is boxing but I also enjoy watching muy thai, and judo.

Mixed Martial Arts is just a hotchpotch of different martial arts thrown together. They take a little bit of this and a little bit of that and it looks horrible. No finese or style in the execution of the techniques because they haven't mastered anything.

in a life or death situation, the man with the knife or gun wins, or just a weapon in general. so fighting with weapons > mma by your state of mind.

theyre both sports. bottom line. they both have sets of rules and specific conditions. Neither has anything to do with street fighting, no matter what you may think.
In a REAL fight, like a life or death situation, a grappler might get his eyes gouged out and a boxer might get kicked in the nuts hard as hell. These are both just SPORTS that I have incredible respect for.

And dont pretend that boxers couldnt transition to mma. Wihtout training, sure, theyd lose. But if someone like Mark Hunt could do decent in mma, you bet your ass certain boxers could.

O'Neil Bell, for example, was a state champion in wrestling, and he started that at a very old age. Even before he started boxing. You dont know what other skills boxers have all the time, and since mma is a combination of skills, a master of one skill will always have a decent chance IF they can keep the fight in their area of expertise.
