    Wow, you're a real *******.

Huh?? why do you say that? You MUST HAVE misread what I wrote... I wasnt saying ANYTHING negative towards Jose at all.... the fact is that Jose has a certain style, certain habits etc etc that I cannot really fix or change at this point.... thats true with any fighter and trainer that get together well after the boxer is well established and "set in his ways." More specifically, Jose obviously hass trouble with slick southpaws (Collazo, Simms) and his mentality as a person and his already established philosophy towards fighting just aren't going to change in a way that would allow for him to take an entirely whole new approach to that style. Trust me, I am not saying ANYTHING negative about Jose, you don't understand I think.

And don't even tell me it was his work with Floyd JR. because number one Floyd Sr. wasn't even around for most of his later and amateur and pro career and, 2, Roy Jones SR. developed Roy, Gainer, Arthur Williams AND "Cool" Vince Phillips and is as great as anybody in terms of skills and knowledge... he just never talked about it like Mayweather does. I am laughing when I see SO MANY people claim Mayweather Sr. is so great because of nothing other than he tells them he is. He is almost unintelligible as it is and in the promotion for a fight like this he would make a huge fool of himself and take away from Oscar. As a trainer... if he wants to take ALL the credit, literally, for Oscar being able to beat Jr. because of his input then he should take the blame for Oscar losing to Sturm and Hops. Also food for thought...Senior talks so highly of his defensive system, like it is the force or something, like it is a top secret boxing genius defense system that rules the world... well, I asked Marlon Starling (who beat Sr, twice) about it and he laughed and said "Well, I can tell you that I didn't have any trouble hitting him if that's what your asking." He then showed me the very simple counter move that he used to open Mayweather up and hit him with straight right hands over and over. I am sure Oscar will figure it out all on his own
        Im with you 100%

I thought for the most part Oscar looked like crap against Mayorga too, eventhough he won easily.

Cool, I feel better about some of the stuff I've been feeling.

I think Oscar has a shot.

DLH could catch Floyd and change the course of the fight; the way Baldomir caught Zab and took control of that contest.

Lots are counting Oscar completely out - but I won't do that.

                  Cheers.

Felix Sturm was actually the only fight that De La Hoya hasn't looked good in since Mayweather Sr. was his trainer. He did better against Mosely in the second fight that in the first, and in my opinion deserved the decision, some would disagree, but he did better against Mosely with Mayweather Sr. training him than without.

He also DID look good against Hopkins. Consider what Hopkins has done to guys like Trinidad and Tarver, who get completely shut out and embarassed. I had Hopkins up by two rounds going into the 9th, when De La Hoya got stopped, and I really thought Oscar was fighting a good fight.

Mayweather Sr. isn't as good as he says he is, don't get me wrong, but he has done good work with Oscar. Also the fact that an intelligent, experienced fighter like De La Hoya completely swears by the guy after going through a lot of trainers does in itself say a lot about him.
