Hagler isn't really a slugger. Hagler is more of a swarmer himself, he wasn't this huge puncher. He was more of a boxer/puncher.
Slugger= Ernie Shavers, George Foreman. They had styles nothing like Hagler's.Comment

Well to be fair, hagler was able to adapt his style of fighting, he isnt one dimensional like trinidad.
Many people say hagler only beat two recognized opponents, thats completely false. Minter, anutofermo, mugabi, hamsho, roldan, briscoe, and oblejimas are all world class opponents. You have to understand that the standards of making the hall of fame back then were alot easier. Joey maxim would not be elected to the hall of fame if he had the same career but in a modern era.Comment

You have it backwards. It was harder and the sport was more competitive and tougher back then. There were great champions completely forgotten because the divisions were so rich with talent. These days you only need a decent amount of talent and a lot of exposure to stand out and become the next big thing. See Jeff Lacy for example. Lacy would be a decent hard hitting journeyman in the 50's, not even a champion.
I'm really not gonna bother arguing with you on this, you think the 1980's were the best era for boxing. I just disagree completely. The 80's looked awesome compared to today but it's all been downhill from the 1960's and on IMO.
Television, alphabet bodies, and then PPV pulled boxing into the muck. I don't even want to talk about it because I'll sound like a pessimist but the sport is shrinking. It'll never die, but I wonder if it'll ever reclaim what it once was.Comment

Greb might have been a good match for Maussa.
I think both men are/were mentally challenged.
