    Greb cant beat hagler

I hate it when people say greb is the greatest of all times when there is no footage of him in a fight. Seriously, from the footage of training that I have seen, his body movement is horrible. His footwork is bad and he spars like a ******. Let me breakdown the reasons why hagler is better.

    A. Hagler is a hard hitting slugger with defence, Greb is a swarmer.
    B. Greb was blated very easily, hagler had a rock solid chin.
    C. Hagler has never had a real dominating defeat, his losses and draws were filled with controversy.
    D. The main people that think highly of greb were the ones that either grew up watching him or they knew people that grew up watching him. He is based entirely on his rep.

Stylistically hagler should beat greb cuz he is tailor made to do it. However, some people will look for greb to pull a random miracle and get the win. It's ridiculous.

type his name on youtube, his sparring technique is horrible. Sluggers beat swarmers 7/10 times and marvin is an amazing defensive slugger.

Guys that's a clip of him fooling around shadowboxing. Means ****. Greb didn't even train or shadowbox seriously that much, he mostly sparred and fought endlessly. From what I've heard he barely even hit bags, just other people.

Also to say Greb stylistically loses to Hagler is a joke. Show me footage of him fighting a pro bout and then talk about his style.

I dunno how the fight would go between these two rugged middleweights with iron chins, but they were both great. Greb of course has the better resume and was a better P4P fighter (beating quality heavier men on a consistent basis).

it could be my ignorance of past fighters...but I think in a lot of cases, past fighters get a lot of praise for having so many fights....at that time PPV and TV dates weren't exactly an obsticle and a lot of fights could take place...plus probably less politics...these days fighters know they can make millions in one fight during a year if they land the right PPV date..so the drive and desire to fight more isn't there...

Greb gets praise because he has supposedly beaten a lot of good fighters and has an extensive record...but there is barely any footage of him...so you may hear some who haven't even seen him, praise him, because they feel that is the "right" thing to do based on what they hear about him

but some of us don't have much merritt to say he is overrated if we have not even seen much of him..so I save my judgement

Reminded me of that Donald Hoskins video. We cant really compare two different eras; but his record is impressive, beat some notable guys, went from middleweight to light heavyweight and back. Boxing was less of a science back then. I wont argue with having Greb in a top 20 p4p list, but as far as all time middleweights, I would also rank Hagler over him.

A swarmer usually loses to a slugger with an iron chin. If greb beat better fighters(which i disagree with), it also means he has more losses to them. If hagler beat spinks 1/4 times, i wouldnt brag about it.
