Pretty Boy Floyd vs Jermain Taylor

Im not that upset at the original poster. I dont think it was about Floyd as much as it was a diss at Taylor. Taylor is maybe the most flawed elite fighter who has came along in a long time so it makes you wonder if other guys who are tremendously talented could beat him even if they are so small. If Taylor were a 154 pounder then I would give Floyd a great shot but I cant see Floyd being able to do much against him at 160 considering how Taylor will just fire off punches any time Floyd makes a move. Even if Floyd blocks them all, it would be so much power & speed that it would look like Floyd was getting killed and they would still move Floyd's body alot.Comment

Nah man, he might get beat and he might even get killed but I dont see anyone stopping Floyd from 160 on down unless they just catch him with a blind punch. Taylor is fast & can hit but Floyd will block most of his punches and even though he may be in alot of pain, he still would be able to take it for 12 rounds, e****ally since Taylor always seems to fade & lose power in the 2nd half of the fight. Floyd also has a very good chin. Its not out of the question but I dont see it and if it did happened it would definatly be much later then the 5thComment

If Mayweather is truthful in wanting to be remembered as "the best", or worthy of being mentioned alongside the All-Time-Greats...he will return to 147 after beating De La Hoya and defend his crown against the best for a few years.
As far as an actual contest agianst Taylor at 160....I'm not even going to comment on such a thing.Comment

I think he already is ONE of he best, but I agree with everything else you said. No way could he be the best and retire with under 40 fights. If Mayweather is truthful in wanting to be remembered as "the best", or worthy of being mentioned alongside the All-Time-Greats...he will return to 147 after beating De La Hoya and defend his crown against the best for a few years.

I am a huge Mayweather fan, but this fight would be absolutely First Degree Murder for Jermaine.
Jermaine would be just so much ****ing bigger that he would just throw a barrage of punches missing being blocked or what, with nothing Floyd able to do to keep him off.
He's just far too small.
You're talking about a man who started his career at a LEGITIMATE Super flyweight, fighting someone who started his career as a Super Middleweight.
You do the math.Comment
