Judah is actully not overrated. In the Mayweather fight he seemed to be focused and the more dangerous thing is the if he lost against mayweather his credibility is all lost and that what happened.

Mayweather goals as i understood in the doc. 'Soul of the Champion':
    - To win 5 or 6 division title and that is why he went to 154 and not stayed at 147
    - to retire undeafted
    - fight Oscar and Shane he wanted them both long time ago.
    - To be remebered as the greatest fighter of all time.

Lets get real..This fight will not take place! But if it did yes Mayweather will dance hit and move, But if Taylor catches him once with a stiff hander its gonna be night night, And I dont see Mayweather doing that to Taylor do you?
        Peace...

But if he's serious about leaving, leave after the De la Hoya fight. If he wins who could deny him as a boxing legend?

            I could.

The word "legend" is tossed around far too thoughtlessly these days.

From the last 10 years...back to 1996, that would be comparing him to the likes of De La Hoya, Trinidad, Hopkins, Jones Jr., etc. That's fair.

I'd even say if he beats De La Hoya and Oscar shows he's still a capable opponent, that you could compare Mayweather's record to Whitaker, maybe Chavez, Nelson, or even a Napoles. The problem is the gaps in competition, whether you believe those fighters ducked him or not...he didn't fight them.

Leonard's quality of opposistion: Benitez, Duran, Hearns, Kalule, and Hagler is far greater than Mayweather at this point, who has Hernandez, Manfreddy, Corrales, Chavez, Castillo, Corely, Gatti, Judah, and Baldomir. Those are really good fighters; but are they of the same calibre as Leonard's? I say no.

When the word "Legend" is used, I think of a Robinson, Moore, B. Leonard, Ross, Armstrong, etc. These men fought over a hundred fights in some cases...and against quality opposistion. Sure, there were a few non-impressive combabtants in there; but we're talking about a ****-load of fights and consistancey over the bulk of them.

Of course Mayweather's never going to fight 100 fights; and he doesn't have to. He just has to fight more often and against the best, and not just the monetary best or the best known, because boxing isn't as popular as it once was and there are many ignorant fans who don't know anything different than what network A or network B tells them. De La Hoya is one of, if not the best known active fighter; but best-known and best are two different things.

Mayweather will never match the level of competition of SRL, and isn't interested in doing so. That's why he'll never be as respected as SRL. Not even really comparable.

At this rate, I can tell you when Mayweather retires, there's going to be a whole list of "What ifs?" "What if he'd fought Hatton?" "What if he'd fought Margarito?" Etc etc. Same as the What If's with Roy. Floyd is really mimicking Roy's career anyway, at this point. Short term, lots of money and praise. Long term, boxing historians and serious fans will have too many unanswered questions to name them true Legends. That's my opinion.
