You think Margarito would knock out Williams? Arum sure doesn't...

Keep talking your bull****, after September passed, Margarito still offered Mayweather the fight and Mayweather turned it down. Stop being biased, Mayweather avoided a Margarito fight, simply the truth.

He chose a bigger fight over Margarito (Baldomir). Margarito is choosing to sit on his ass for 7 months rather than fight Williams. Huge difference. How can you even defend Margarito's actions when you were one of the biggest haters when Floyd decided not to fight Margarito?

If Margarito hand is good he should fight Paul and then Cotto, if he doesn't fight Paul and gets strip of his belt, Cotto should fight some other title holder...maybe Cintron.

Cotto could drop his belt too

Like when Tarver and Glen Johnson fought, there doesn't need to be a major belt on the line to sell this fight.

But, at least in the LHW bout the Ring belt was at stake. Mayweather has that one. I'm sure some minor organization will step up and call it a title fight or one of the Big 4 can make up some "Universal Americas" belt or something to give it the additional importance.

Arum is being misinterpreted in this thread. He never said Margarito WILL drop the belt, he said it was a possibility, due to the injury. If he can't fight an interim bout (which would have to be Williams), so be it. Fine with me, because we'll still get the big fight in June, and then the winner can fight Williams.

In fact, it's like two birds with one stone for the Punisher. Let them unify and pound on each other, and then take the winner in a huge fight in fall 2007 for two welterweight belts. That puts the winner of the fall 2007 unification fight (whoever it may be, Cotto, Margarito or Williams) in a position to harass PBF for the ultimate title fight at welterweight.

Margarito never said he didnt want to fight williams! this is Bob doing all the talking, how is margarito a punk? he's not even sure whats going to happen. On the interview after his fight with clottey he said that if Williams is the #1 mandatory then hes next and that he was going to shut his mouth for all the talking he's been doing.

Margarito is a punk because for years hes been ducking the whole Welterweight, Lightmiddleweight divsions. He doesn't fight anybody, holds no good wins, takes up space on peoples pound for pound lists, and claims everyone fears him...

I think Margo is nervous. I think his ribs hurt from just watching Quintana fall. Miguel BALLS Cotto.

Regarding the mandatory that's due against Williams, Arums says "I'm not going to risk a massive promotion in Madison Square Garden over it."

After all this talk about Margarito being the most ducked fighter, looks like he's the one doing the ducking. With 7 months to go before June, you don't think Margarito would have time for an interim fight against his mandatory?
Arum's words are not reliable and besides tony said he would fight the winner of cotto-quintana fight.
