that sounds pretty ****ty at first
but once ya hear why it makes since
this guy spends his whole career being 'avoided" or skipped
and finally has another top fighter willing to fight him
u think hes gonna go give williams a fight
    nah srry bro
    its get mine
    then help someone else out
no doubt marg will face williams after the cotto fight
    but its understandable
u dont throw away what youve been waiten your whole career for

it's ******ed to say Margarito is ducking anyone... he's not in charge, Bob Arum is... please save the ignorance

and money talks and even if Paul Williams may very well deserve a shot first, a fight with the more marketable Miguel Cotto equals more money at this point

Does anyone have a link to the fight? I would love to watch it in it's entirety but the version I downloaded was audio only for me.

        giant one,

We will definitely have a friendly point bet when this fight is proved to be certain to happen.

Not really. After Margarito's fight this weekend, there is no doubt in my mind that Floyd would have beaten him soundly.

The magnitude of the two fights are simply not comparable.

The problem here isnt that Tony wants to Cotto fight, because that makes sense.
But the most "dangerous" and "feared" welterweight is DROPPING his belt to avoid fighting a dangerous fighter!
                Its comical.
That being said, I think Tony beats Williams (who i dont think is THAT good) and will get stopped by Cotto.

I don't really give a **** what Margarito does anymore. Even if Floyd beat Margarito he wouldn't get his respect. None of those Mayweather haters should talk **** now.

Margarito fans are the biggest bunch of hypocrites in the history of boxing. Margarito has made a name for himself by being a "ducked" fighter, yet he's going to turn around and duck another deserving fighter and you're going to defend that after all this time you were giving **** to Mayweather for doing the exact same thing?

Margarito may have crossed the line from plain ducking to outright fear. Not only does he not want a piece of Paul Williams, but he is so scared of the man that he will drop his precious title not to fight him. This is the same title that many of his critics said he should drop a long, long time ago so he could position himself for a bigger fight. All that time Margarito refused because that belt was so important to him. But now that he has a mandatory that's not a complete pushover, of course Margarito's in a rush to get rid of that title. And if you don't think Margarito fears Williams, he could have gotten that fight out of the way in December too and he chose Clottey instead. Margarito never had the intention of facing Williams...
