    Correction...

Kessler MAY have to fight Andrade first or risk loosing the WBC belt, but it COULD quite possibly be worked around (as it has been in the past, as Andrade has expressed willingness to allow...)

Even IF it means loosing the WBC title Kessler would still want to fight Calzaghe.

Kessler HAS made a career high purse bid for Calzaghe to come to Denmark for a fight and obviously expects the mandatory problem to be quite easily resolved.

Lately i've even heard talk Andrade might be moving to LHW - so there might not even be a mandatory waiting for Kessler.

Yet this mandatory discussion seems to be an all-consuming worry to Calzaghe fans (maybe because Joe never had to deal with it as WBO champ)

As for the injury - Kessler should be ready for late feb -early march. Same time as Calzaghe's hands are supposed to be ready for Manfredo - right?

      Schnell, schnell!!

Sorry mate, it was just getting on my nerves all these sour Krauts bashing the English posters (when he's ****ing WELSH anyway) for liking Joe Blow.

"Yur man is achtung! avoiding our Kessler, schnell!"

It's like "STFU going on about it - am I talking about Austwich 24/7?"

Tszyu is based in Australia, the UK is a bigger Boxing centre than Australia, hence a fight in the UK made sense, and with very big crowds turning up regularly to watch Hatton.

Calzaghe is based in the UK, a far bigger boxing country than Denmark, and with Calzaghe having a far bigger fanbase than Kessler.

But Warren WON'T make an offer for a fight in the UK. Then it doesn't matter feck all if you claim the UK to be the greatest boxing nation in the history of the sport or whether it is a 1000 or a million times bigger than Denmark.

In one of only two fights outside the UK in his entire pro-career, Calzaghe was quite willing to go to Denmark a few years ago to fight a no name (McIntyre). But he sure as hell won't go there to fight Kessler.

And then his fans commes around with arguments like "the UK is a bigger country than Denmark" - Oh wow!!! I'm so impressed. - You've really been paying attention in geography - good boy. You are so much less ignorant than the other guy (prime example of the british) who thinks anything across the channel is Germany or german speaking territory.

              - But it still matters feck all. Warren still WON'T make an offer for a fight in the UK. Otherwise he bloody well SHOULD be able to come up with a better deal - the UK being soooooo great and all - than what can be made in Denmark (despite Kessler's offer being for the biggest purse in Calzaghe's career 'till now).

It is Joe Calzaghe’s objective to win over his American audience and defeat globally recognised boxers like Manfredo, Taylor and Hopkins. Once Joe Calzaghe has achieved these objectives he will then consider taking Kessler’s supermiddle weight titles. With a monolithic following of Americans and Britons the Calzaghe v Kessler fight would then gain an audience of monumental proportions but until then Kessler will have to wait".

                Taken from joes website

Sounds a bit hollow when you compare it with what he has to say about his ultimate goals on his very own website:

"Joe’s ultimate goal is to unify all the Super Middle Weight titles and become a 2 weight world champion, only time will tell if he achieves his goals"

Well - Joe, a shot at your "ultimate goal" was right there in front of you, but you didn't want it. What a load of crap.

So now that life-long goal is no longer his goal

How can anybody support this fool

                    Well, quite.

I can quite understand their excitement/frustration though. They've never produced a fighter of note and now they finally have one who has managed to snag a couple of belts. Proper ones as well. OK, he hasn't fought anyone of note but that's by the by for now.

Unfortunately for him the only fighter in his division worth a damn is Calzaghe. And like it or not he has bigger fish to fry. Yes, Taylor is a much bigger fish. Yes, Hopkins (oh please it be true) is a much bigger fish. Sadly, and you have no idea how much I hate saying this, Peter effin Manfredo is a bigger fish in terms of revenue, fame and getting to the aforementioned big fishes.

If I were Kessler I'd go after the likes of Froch and Bute - two names that will get recognition in North America and the UK. Leave the ********* alone. That's his best route to some big fights.
