Its also just Toney's personality I think... Some fighters could fight on the drop of a hat. Toney relied on that attitude and naturally sometimes it failed him.
    I don’t eat shrimp.

The real reason is he took the last chicken wing.

    Ya got me.

Don’t dislike Toney. I like that style of fighting I like defensive fighters. I like Ian Napa too but if he had a rabid fan base talking nonsense I’d say the same thing. He just doesn’t obviously because he wasn’t very good.

Rahman said Toney schooled him? Where? Show me. I’d be interested to read or hear that.

Toney battered Holyfield’s corpse yeah. Don’t see the relevance to that?

Schooling isn’t that subjective. Roy Jones took James Toney to school. That’s a fact. I’m not sure who James Toney schooled. Past prime Iran Barkley but so did a number of people.
It is in the postfight interview. Rahman's admission.

Ok I was extremely sure that is not true from memory. It also makes no sense considering the first fight was clearly close.

So I’ve just gone and watched both post fight interviews to make sure and no where in either fight does Rahman say that Toney schooled him. In fact, he states that he beat Toney and was winning the rematch at the time of the stoppage due to the headbutt.

So you’re either making it up or are mistaken.

Provide a source for Rahman saying he felt Toney schooled him. I find it that incredibly hard to believe.

Toney was an awful mean nigra. Add a world class chin, a fine punch and some old school trickiness, and he was a handful for most. But a great disparity in speed is a real deal breaker; all bets are off.

I will recheck. It was the interview the fight that was a draw.

I’ve watched it and no where does he say that.

Rahman says in the post fight interview that he feels like he won the fight. I also felt he won the fight and not that it means anything but Harold Lederman had Rahman winning the fight too.

Why did you say that Rahman said Toney schooled him? As if he were admitting that he felt he lost.

This is what I’m talking about when it comes to Toney, it’s fantasy after fantasy.

The fact of the matter is Toney did not “school” Rahman in any capacity what so ever, a close either way fight was called a draw which was a more than fair decision.

Look at this guy You take this stuff so seriously.

The guy claimed Hasim Rahman himself said that Toney “schooled” him in his post fight interview. That is a totally untrue statement and it never happened. A reoccurring theme amongst Toney’s internet fan base funnily enough.

And you’re saying I’m traumatised for dis*****g this claim? Adorable aren’t you son.
