Manny Pacquiao's Decision to Accept Olympic Drug Testing Is Smart Move

    - -Ok, another 50-0 TUE sychophant, no surprises there. End of the day TUE made the first drug testing demands. Manny countered with his own.

He was all set to make the fight happen. It was Pacquiao who wouldn't sign because he was asked to do stricter drug testing.

This has all been rehashed before.
Yes and Floyd conveniently came up with drug testing, which he never asked for with any other opponent before. He did that knowing Manny wouldn't agree to it, at least not right away, so we ended up getting the fight 6 years later, when Pacquiao had a lot more miles on the odometer, including a KO loss. Just like when Sugar Ray Leonard didn't fight Marvelous Marvin Hagler until 1987, when the fight could've happened at least 2 years before that, when Hagler was a bigger challenge or when he waited until 1989 for a rubber match with Duran. I believe Muhammad Ali said if you're undefeated, you didn't fight everyone. It also means they sometimes played games and didn't fight them at their best and also got lucky at times when scorecards were close, but the first point is the more important one here.

        Really? Based on what?

I guess there's also a chance of a Lightweight Duran getting beat by a Jr Mw Mayweather. Or a 50 year old Duran losing to a prime Mayweather. there's also a chance of Mayweather running Duran over w/ his SUV.

        How about being relevant?

This is the hot steaming load of spunk the *****'s can never wash off their face.

Yes, Pacquiao was surely an abuser. He was probably just more flagrant in his abuse than others, like the cute little rascal who loved his IV's. Mayweather's request for the testing was one last attempt to stall. He could have simply side-stepped it. Did he ask anyone else to submit to drug tests? Judah? Canelo? Mosley? Was the fear of PED abuse really his reason for not seeking out Paul Williams or Sergio Martinez.

It's so funny how the *****'s excuse Floyd's systematic pre-fight demands. He was always moving the goal post. In one of the weakest eras of the sport, no less.

It's Pacquiao's fault that we got the fight 6 years later. If he had nothing to hide he should have had no problem accepting stricter testing.

In this day and age of Jarrell Miller testing positive for 3 different PEDs Manny's refusal to test looks even worse in retrospect.

Especially since he himself started requiring his opponents to do stricter testing eventually, anyway. He obviously wasn't THAT afraid of needles, which was one of the excuses being thrown around at the time.

Yes. Floyd requested USADA testing for multiple fights and opponents.

None of them had a problem with it except for Pacquiao. Which makes you wonder.

                    - -By bleacher leaches who wouldnt know Olympic drug testing from women's curling.

You never told us why TUEs testa levels were lower than octogenarian Arums testa levels.

                    Bit embarrassed, eh?

Is that what's bothering you? That I used Bleacher Report as a source?

                      Fine.

Here you go. Let's use ESPN instead.

                      24/7 drug testing for Pacquiao-Rios
In late 2009, when Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. were negotiating a March 2010 mega fight that the world wanted to see, it came down to a single outstanding issue that caused the fight to break up: Mayweather's insistence on random blood and urine testing for banned substances and Pacquiao's refusal to agree on the particulars.
