I remember tiny Jesus Chavez mullering TUE 50-0 at 130, and Castillo brutalizing him at 135, two back to back fights

What 135-147 Duran does to daddy's boy would prob result in criminal charges in VegaT any rate Daddy steers TUE away from Duran just like he did Manny.
HAHA yep. Until about 5 years of negotiations and stalling, while arguing about drug testing and purse splits. Mayweather vs. Duran is a damn intriguing dream fight though.

It is hard to believe one simple move or tactic would work all night long against MW because he IS adaptable. If Duran were doing something effective against him, MW would look for a way to diminish the effectiveness of the move by making it impossible to perform. He may not be able to do that. But he certainly will quickly learn to anticipate this tactic against his shoulder roll and set some counter traps of his own.
But then wouldn't Duran be able to adapt to that adjustment at some point or would he pretty much be screwed by that point in the fight?

Duran was a rugged, vicious fighter. Better than anything we would see until the arrival of Lomachenko. Mayweather did everything not to fight a prime version of the marquee names of his (atrociously weak) era. Put two and two together.
Yep. That's why it took what? 5-6 years for him to finally step in the ring with Pacquiao after throwing any obstacles he could to that fight. First drug testing, then purse split. We never seemed to hear about stricter drug testing until talks of a potential Pacquiao fight came up. What a coincidence. At least with Mosley, word was that they couldn't agree on money, which prevented that one from happening sooner. I've read people saying here that he priced himself out before it happened in 2010. I imagine he probably moved up in weight class to avoid any other names? I started watching him later in his career.

          - -Canelo's first left hook is to the heart.

Castillo brutalized TUE body and team Canelo knew that. The single rt to the arm ain't a scoring punch, yet a standard part of big slugger arsenal, and no mistake, when Canelo sits down on his punches, he gots da POWA!

How these octo years going for you Leffy? With all these competing platforms, you still watch what you want?

Floyd agreed to a 50/50 purse split, ring size, glove size, and an over-the-weight-limit penalty in 2009.

He was all set to make the fight happen. It was Pacquiao who wouldn't sign because he was asked to do stricter drug testing.

This has all been rehashed before.

There's always the chance of Floyd frustrating Duran into a No Mas.

Recently re-watched that great video of Duran sparring Nigel Benn in 1988. Duran made it all look easy.Roberto was truly born to fight. The two opponents Duran could never beat were the knife and fork.

I do not get to watch everything I want to anymore. I am seeing I do not need most of it anyway. I am no longer interested in loading the pockets of shysters so they can burn me some more. If they are going to make it hard they lose me.

                    - -So, TUE 50-0 asked for stricter drug testing that he never ever showed in his career or of his drug infested stable is it?

Floyd asked for stricter drug testing, yes. Pacquiao ran away from it.

But Pacquio later had no problem signing up for stricter drug testing against Brandon Rios.
