I’ve followed boxing closely since 1970. Watched all the top hwts from the 70’s live and in person as well as attended the Ali-Norton third bout in 76. You have a very skewed understanding of boxing history.

Also remember you are the uneducated one. My accomplishments both in terms of education and economics would dwarf the vast majority. Based upon your posts you would be in that majority.

Both Liston bouts were investigated at that time and no evidence was found they were faked/dives. None. Zero. Zip.

I applauded Ali’s stance regarding Vietnam. I despised at the time his bombast.

Anyone can spot an Ali hater. As soon as you hear he actually lost multiple fights is all you need to hear. If the fight was close...he lost it. Garbage. As just one example his second bout with Chavalo was a one sided affair. His bout with Norton at Yankee stadium was scored on prime time tv by a panel of boxers, trainers, historians and writers. The tabulation of their scores reveal a draw. So a very close bout.

As the years go by nut jobs like you see on here become easy to spot...when you know the true history.

It never occurred to you that the reason I am not an Ali fan is because I have seen enough with my own eyes and I have read enough boxing books and articles to form an educated opinion. Notice I said opinion...I don't claim to know it all or argue something as a fact if it hasn't been or cannot be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt.

I reserve the right to be skeptical about Ali's bouts that I have mentioned in prior posts. I am not the only one who shares this opinion. Books have been written which have disputed Ali's wins over Liston and some of the gift decisions he received because he was the money fighter. The guy that could resurrect boxing during a time when boxing was sinking in popularity. For that I do give him credit.

Again, you aren't anyone's superior on here and your degrees and claims of being another millionaire who has nothing better to do with his money than beat his chest on an internet forum in order to "win" an argument is nothing unique.

I never posted anything as fact, unless there was enough evidence to back it up. I clearly stated that "I" thought Ali lost and was given gifts against Jones, Chuvalo II, Young, Shavers, and Norton at least once if not twice. I stated my reasons and it wasn't out of bias or hate for the man. I never hated Ali, but I also don't have a biased admiration of him the way you do.

Robinson lost , louis lost , leonard lost , duran lost ...all great fighters lose and when they come back and win that is what makes them legends....no ali's defeats do not affect his legacy but GOAT heavyweight is razor thin between louis , ali and lewis. And they all lost

As for boxing, as I stated a much smaller guy gave him some good sparring. I never stated I could ever beat him at his speciality.

Bottomline, Ali was prime at age 29 against Frazier, not the washerwoman his fans maintain, a complete sacrilege of logic!

Amigo, dial down the hyperbole. I don't think anyone thinks Ali in '71 was washed up, a washerwoman or lived in a washhouse. In fact, I believe Ali himself said something like he probably couldn't have gone 15 with Frazier prior to the layoff because he wasn't as sturdy.

But there's also no doubt that the guy who returned against Quarry wasn't the same guy who left against Folley. Heck, all someone has to do is look at photographs - the guy who came back was significantly thicker. The ring rust and lack of conditioning against Quarry was very evident. Just two fights later he was taking on Frazier.

Frazier beat him. Losing to a prime Frazier isn't a bad loss in anyone's book and there doesn't need to be an excuse for it. Ali got his revenge in 2 other fights.
