I was a fan of Darnell Knox. I first saw him fight against John Jarvis on ESPN in 1985. He lost to Michael Nunn in 4 fighting for the NABF title and never fought again. He sadly died in 2004 of a brain tumor.

I always liked Josesito Lopez. Can't really explain why. You can say he guts but heaps of boxers have guts. I just enjoyed that kid's game I guess.

I agree, there was no 'extra' time. ...................Rockin'Originally posted by JAB5239 View Post
You said the ref called Lar back for extra recovery time. I can absolutely prove there was no extra time, so why make this rubbish up? Again, the fact is he beat the 8 count and went on to win dominantly. Apparently counting to 8 is to complex for you. Tsk, tsk.

- - Kirkland a classic misbegotten thug tapped into boxing to be mismanaged. Angulo and he produced FOY quality, but understand Angulo had been held for endless months in Homeland Security detention in some sort of bureaucratic mash up before being released to sign that emergency fight for his financial needs.Originally posted by Anthony342 View Post
Or what about that Kirkland guy who beat him one year for Ring's fight of the year? James Kirkland right?
Kirk need some ref help to survive the early Angulo onslaught that has an interesting BS history connection.
