I think if John found a way to nullify Larry's jab, he has a chance to win. But Larry's speed would be a problem for John. It would definitely be a close fight.

Really trying not to be disrespectful but Tate wouldn’t stand a snowballs chance in hell of beating Holmes.

Simply put, there are levels to this sport and Holmes was at the least one and probably two above Tate

--- Indeed, Lar deathly afraid of WBA champs as his losing title record proves when he finally got around to fighting them.

One belt in a multi belt era was his level that he barely hung on to until falling apart.

Just out of curiosity, how many unification fights where happening in the heavyweight division at that time? In other words, how many times was the WBA and IBF belt unified? You can't answer this without corrupting your own opinion on Holmes and why he didn't unify himself. But please go ahead and give it a shot, it should be good for a chuckle or two!

--- Fat Lar could never unify if he wouldn't fight his mandatory.

Hence his part in giving up his WBC for the creation of the new IBF belt in a crook org who's prez went to jail.

Larry found his level in further splitting up and diminishing boxing.

How did Holmes know he would go to jail? Youre Larry left to avoid mandatory fights. I'm assume he left the WBC for w he at he thought would be greener pastures. Either way you cut it, he's still one of the very best heavyweights tht ever lived.

Do you like to post for shock value or are you truly this ignorant?

What part of any ABC titlist not fighting another do you not understand? Should be pretty simple, just give examples of all the other ABC boys fighting one another. Shouldn't be difficult, right?
