How can he rank so highly when he lost to the two best fighters he ever faced? How can he rank so highly when his best win came against a part time golfer with exactly one top 10 win? You got some esplainin to do Lucy!!
They won 95% of all rounds contested with one of the highest KO% in the division, a type of dominance never seen before. By clearing out the division they made way for fellow Eastern Euros who have been dominating much the rest of the mid to heavy divisions for these many years now.
Their German promotions were like going to a classical concert with beautifully choreographed video and they both got involved in international causes and especially Vitali was heavily involved in Ukrainian politics.
Moreover, head to head, there's only a handful of heavies that could beat them.
Sorry their neutering of you wasn't so surgical. You're obviously still in much pain.

And no, you cannot rank the Klitchko's collectively. Wlad cleaned out and dominated for a decade. H2h Vits is imposing I agree. But his resume and a crap era is why he fall short of greatness. And whatever he's done outside the ring has no bearing on hi accomplishments inside of it.
Sorry my neutering of you was so precise and surgical.

--- Vitali is 15-2 in title fights. Came back from 4 yrs retirement working on politics straight into one of the top heavies of his era, Sam Peter and KOed him to win his title back. No heavy has ever done that.
How's he gonna get another belt when Wlad was holding them. I rank them collectively because they had to work with and around each other. Everytime you look at the top 20 boxrec or top 10 ring rankings in their era, they're packed either with names they already beat or would end up beating.
And they started pros with ama coaches with no history of the dirty tricks of pro boxing. Vitali went to America to lure Tyson and Field to no avail, the brothers were avoided like the plague much like Corrie Sanders was for being SAfrican southpaw KO artist. Lot of mistakes made like not realizing Vitali was way ahead on points against Byrd and could have coasted the last few rounds or Wlad fighting once a month for a year before pitching a brutal shutout on Puritty. His ama coach should have had Wlad lay off the last two rounds to just jab and move for the easy win and go easier on the fight schedule.
Vitali didn't bow out like as the cowardly lion making false promises as Lewis did. He finished up his business in the ring and in politics and now mayor of kiev and the most popular pol in the Ukraine.
And Deyonce defending against TBAs the best you got now? Pitiful

He never fought a WBA champion, so why do you rate him so high but not Holmes? Never beat an all time great. Lost to the two best fighters he ever faced. Didn't rematch Byrd even though they were ranked next to each other the next several years after he quit against him. On top of all that he missed fighting a TON of top 10 fighters for one reason or another.

Wlad was koed in comical fashion by Ross Purity a nothing and nobody as well as two other nothings. To be rated as an ATG a fighter must show extra ordinary ability to take it, heart, will to win. You can't be rated along side fighters who exhibited these all time great characteristics if you have a quitters mentality. Vitali QUIT in his corner because his shoulder "hurt too much". Ha!
