My favorites are the crossover episodes with The Green Hornet and Kato. I liked that show better, but Batman was fun. I believe the titles are A Piece of the Action and Batman's Satisfaction. Green Hornet was more gritty and stylish, had a bit more of a noirish quality at times I liked.

Sure Jones was fast and yes possibly the fastest LHW ever. His biggest letdown is chin. But can you catch that chin?

Spinks is an ATG LHW. Both in terms of resume and IMO also head-to-head. Spinks had brutal KO power with either hand and great footwork that made him difficult to hit cleanly. Man that punchpower was awesome. I don't remember who it was against, but Spinks might have one of the greatest uppercut KO's in boxing history.

I'm a huge fan of Spinks. I think he often gets underrated because of his loss to Tyson which of course is grossly unfair. His run at LHW was outstanding. The best in one of the best eras in the division.

I would lean towards Spinks, but I do understand the branch that says that Speed kills everything.

Bruce Lee used to talk about the actor, I forget his name, that he had very strong wrists from sailing. I think Gene LeBell worked with Lee around that time also... Good times good times! The villian in that episode who turned Batman and Robin into giant postage stamps became a stock feature of all the Irwin Allen shows and Star Trek.

Man when I was a kid I loved watching those shows!

People do indeed glorify speed and sometimes seem to dismiss reach. Its a tough fight and I don't mean to belabor a point but it makes a big difference if we are doing 12 rounds or 15. A boxer puncher needs to work a bit, and set up a few rounds. Spinks was good enough to pressure Jones given enough time and opportunity. Jones was always dangerous and had pretty decent power at that weight class.

I could see Spinks winning this under certain conditions. Regarding the greats...Think for a second and see who was dominated by what type of fighter.

Archie Moore was beat pillor to post by Charlie Burley 2 times, or was it 3? What does that tell one? not hell of a lot frankly. I don't see the old timers being so bothered by Roy's speed. Technique, body angles, reach, a jab, all neutralize speed.

I actually think the biggest threat posed by Roy is his power. Power when combined with speed can be devistating and might allow him some moments against some of the greats. But with that said unlike most of the ATG light heavies, Roy had plenty of flaws. Bob Foster would murder him... It would look like the Glencoffe Johnson fight on steriods. Foster was too strong, hit too hard, he would only have to catch Roy once.

Michael Moore would beat Roy much the way Tarver was able... a strong enough boxer puncher who would not give ground and catch Roy with big punches at the end of combinations, bad match up for Jones, again too big too strong.

As if Jones would ever have the confidence to get in the ring with Spinks...

If he did, he'd end up in a state of Rigor Mortis.

WHY is a heavy juicer like Jones who was the worst ducker of his era even discussed in fantasy fights? It's pointless.

Most light heavy ATGs would have the same problem with Roy--they would simply not be fast enough to beat him. This is the problem Spinks has. The speed difference is critical. Spinks is not a fast light heavyweight but Jones is the fastest light heavyweight ever.
Roy would knock out stinks’ teef...
