Welcome folks, and good afternoon on behalf of Butterfly1964 Productions. Jack Dempsey let the third game slip away, but will he turn the trick on Muhammad Ali, the 2 to 1 favorite? Here's the tale of the tape.

      Jack Dempsey

      age: 28
      height: 6'-1"
      weight: 190
      reach: 77"
      record: 61-4-9 (49ko)

      Muhammad Ali

      age: 25
      height: 6'-3"
      weight: 205
      reach: 83"
      record: 29-0-0 (23ko)

It looks like Jack weighed in heavier to get that extra power he will need against the granite chin Ali. Ali is now bouncing down the aisle into the ring, wearing a white robe with yellow lettering on the back. He is staying warm in there, shadowboxing and moving. Now Jack Dempsey is seen attired with a black robe and many people cheer his arrival. Both men look determined.

Michael Buffer: Introducing, from Houston, TX, he's wearing white trunks with yellow strips, he stands six feet three inches, he weighs two hundred five pounds, Muhaaamaaad Alliiii! And his opponent, from Manassah, CO, he's wearing black trunks, he stands six feet one, weighing one hundred ninety pounds, Jaaaaaack Deeempseeeey!!!!!!!!!(the crowd cheers) 15 rounds! Llllllets get ready to ruumbllllllllllle!!!!!!!

Mark Conn: You both know the rules of the Colorado State Athletic boxing Commision. Protect yourself at all times. Beak when I tell you to break. Any questions? Shake hands.

Round 1: Ali circles the ring with tremendous speed and shoots out his jab. dempsey bobbes under it and throws a left lead and a right cross to the head. ali gets a one-two to the head and a left and right hook to the body and a right cross to the head, dempsey gets inside and pounds the body with short left hooks and crisp, clean uppercuts snapping the head of ali, and ali answers with a left hook of his own followed by a right cross to the chin and a left jab to the chin. ali ties jack up and they continue and ali uses the ring and shoots two jabs and a right cross. ali uses the ring for most of the round.

Round 2: Dempsey bobes and weaves and gets under ali's jab, but ali is just not there as he quickly gets out of danger. ali just moves and takes his time, making sure he gets in those lefts. he pops that jab and very often a one-two to keep dempsey off-balance. ali seems to have extra pop in his punches as well, cause he stuns dempsey periodically with his right cross. this is a good round for ali.

Round 3: Dempsey looks for an opening and lands a left hook. ali takes it well and gets in about four consecutive double jabs, landing most of them. dempsey once again gets through ali's reach and ali ties dempsey up, giving him no room to do his dirty work. dempsey is finding this task a little difficult, as ali is bigger, stronger and faster than Jack Johnson, his last foe! Ali is doing well, landing that right cross, never giving dempsey a break.

Round 4: Dempsey is still patient, and not going after him, but he is just bobbing in and out, looking for the right spot to throw a punch. Ali is still on his toes and using his jab effectively. ali ties dempsey up in the clinches and then throws left and right hooks to the body, then pulls back from any counter punches from dempsey. Ali looks impressive once again as he uses the ring and keeps away from the always pursuing dempsey.

Round 5: Ali keeps sticking that jab, and dempsey cannot seem to get through ali's long reach and just settles for long, looping, grazing left hooks that doesn't bother ali. ali game plan seems to be working once again, as ali uses the ring and commands the action as he always does. dempsey gets in a couple of left hooks as a wake-up call to muhammad.

Round 6: Ali keeps moving, but now he sits on his punches. ali's jab are piston-like now and they bother demspey a bit. ali shoots a right cross tot the chin and a left lead to body followed by an over right hand to ther jaw. dempsey gets a right corss to the body, and gets inside working the body and head. Bothe men do good in this round, but dempsey seems the stronger of the two, power-wise.

Round 7: Ali keeps using his jab, bludgeoning the face of Jack Dempsey. dempsey keeps right on him with solid body and head shots while ali head hunts with good, hard blows. dempsey is stunned a little and ali follows up with a hard overhand right and dempsey goes down! dempsey is up at three and they continue. ali tries to finish him, but dempsey survives!

Round 8: Dempsey is still; hurt, and ali knows this. ali comes out and throws fast, hard shots that ropck dempsey again. dempsey goes back and ali pursues. ali lands a right cross and down jack goes again. he is up at 9, and ali is still throwing flurry after flurry and dempsey is out on his feet, prompting referee Mark Conn to stop the fight.

Michael Buffer: The winner by a tko at 1:48 of the eighth round, Muhammad Aliii!

Well, Ali takes the 3-1 series lead and dempsey faces elimination! That's it for today. The final score is ali-tko8. This is butterfly1964 saying, Peace!!

Welcome to Convention Hall, where Sonny Liston will try to take the 3-1 series lead against Joe Louis. Liston is the 4 to 1 betting favorite. Here's the tale of the tape.

          Sonny Liston

          age: 28
          height: 6'-1"
          weight: 208¾
          reach: 84"
          record: 28-1-0 (18ko)

          Joe Louis

          age: 28
          height: 6'-2"
          weight: 203
          reach: 76"
          record: 56-1-0 (50ko)

And Joe Louis is coming down the aisle and into the ring and some cheers could be heard. Now the stadium erupts as Liston climbs into the ring. Liston looks determined to win this fight.

Buffer: Welcome to the Eastern Conference Finals! Introducing, from Detroit, MI, wearing solid blue trunks, at six feet two weighing two oooh three, the Brown Bomber, Joe Loouiss! Loouiss! And his opponent, from Philadelphis, PA, wearing black trunks with white strips, at six feet one, weighing two oooh eight and three quarters, The Big Bear, Charles Sonny Liiistooooon! Liiiiistooooooon!(the crows cheers)

Conn: You know the rules of the Michigan State Athletic Boxing Commision. Fight clean, and break when I tell you. Any questions? Ok, good luck.

Round 1: Liston is the pursuer. Louis jabs liston and shoots a right to the jaw. liston answers with a right to the chin and a left hook to the chin. louis fires a one-two and left and rights to the jaw and uppercuts under the chin in close quarters. both men do good as they are great on the inside, and also at long range.

Round 2: Liston uses his reach and shots a series of jabs to the jaw of sonny. sonny throws a right hand and a left hook followed by a right to the body and a left ot the body. louis answeres back with a left hook to the chin and a one-two combination. liston slips louis' jab and throws left hook, stunning louis. liston follows up and has louis pinned against the ropes. louis is defenseless, but the bell saves him.

Round 3: Louis is still shaken up, but he recovers. They both do work on the inside, and this is where they spend most of their time. Louis is the faster of the two, and he tries to beat him to the punch and outswing liston. liston is calm and ripping the body and following up with big left hooks. Louis is also giving it to sonny by using his perfectly thrown punches at the right positions to put a hurt on sonny. This is an even round, as they both do well.

Round 4: Louis is still determined, and he jabs liston and throws good solid combinations to sonny's body and head. Sonny is slipping some of those pnches to get through with blows of his own. louis still is pressing on, scoring punches and hurting liston. Liston fights back with a one-two that grazes louis' jaw. louis is now the pursuer as he is firing back big shots to liston. but liston is taking every punch, and he will not go down. Liston throws some punches, but louis parries or slips them and counters with shots of his own.

Round 5: Both men are cautious in this round, and are hesitant to mix it up. they simply have a jabbing battle and louis wins that exchange due to the advantage in handspeed. liston throws a hard right to the chin and a left hook to the body, and louis answers with lefts and rights to the body. In close, liston pounds the body and head and uses his strength to outmuscle louis. Louis is weakened from all the punishment he is taking from liston. Louis answers with lefts and rights, but it has no effect.

Round 6: Liston is still going after joe, and landing good shots to the body and head. louis shoots a right hand and a left hooks but liston slips the right hand and blocks the left hook and fires some crushing blows of his own, to weaken joe some more. Liston does well, as he can keep joe away from him and when the y do happen to get in close, he pounds the body and ties louis up with his superior strength. Louis however, fires back with a left hook and an overhand right. louis keeps on him with lefts and right with blinding speed. louis gets in a left hook to the chin and a right hook to the body and a left and right to the chin and a right uppercutt to the body and a left uppercut to the jaw, and liston is hurt. liston is about to go down, but the bell saves him!

Round 7: Louis smells blood and he goes after sonny with left and rights to the body and head. Liston fires back, but to no avail. Louis drives a hard right to the chin and continues to fire fast punches and outswing liston. liston is hurt and louis continues his onslaught. a right hook sends liston reeling against the ropes! louis moves in to finish but liston ducks under a puch and as louis moves in, liston times an over right hnd punch perfectly, and now louis is hurt! louis is holding on! both men exchange and lis ton is coming back landing shots. a left hook and a right cross leaves louis against the ropes, and a left hook knocks louis through the ring! The crowd is cheering on their feet! Louis rolls back into the ring and tries to get up, but it's too late, and liston has won!

Michael Buffer: The winner by a knockout, at 2:54 of the seventh round, Sooonnnnnnyyyyyyy Liiiiiistooooooonnn!(the crowd rejoices!)

Wow, that was a great fight! Will Lisotn eliminate Louis in fight #5? Tune in to find out next time. Once again, the final score is, liston-ko7. This is butterfly1964 saying goodbye from Convention Hall!!

I'm going to go out on a limb and predict Sonny quits on his stool. I hope butterfly makes it interesting like Ali getting blinded in the 5th or something unexpected. Maybe even a 1st round KO by Ali as he catches Liston cold and Ali refuses to go to a neutral corner.....nah no one would believe that
