I tell you if these boxers are all liars they are DAMN good liars/actors, congruent, no resistance of emotions its like they were exactly telling the truth.

Earnie hits hardest and you guys r just trolling me because you know im his fan.
Again, I'm not taking anything away from Shaverss. There is no doubt he is one of the hardest punchers, but there is no way to definitively prove it. Certainly not by a ripped glove. And no one is calling Ali a liar. But would a prime Ali been as hurt? Maybe, maybe not. Ali has said a lot of things at different points in his life. People reflect differently at different times.

One cannot prove things like "the hardest puncher" or "the fastest hitter", they are categories that defy an explanation grounded in certainty. Right now there are men who can hit something and generate more pounds per a square inch than any boxer, what about them? are they the hardest puncher?

Norton and Klitschko are interesting picks. Both had power, but neither belong in the conversation in my opinion.

There is more to power than ko records and mythical stories, there is competition, weight, delivery, speed, accuracy, and more... Going by sparring sessions, careers, competition and such, my personal top five of legit A knockout artists is Wladimir Klitschko, George Foreman, Lennox Lewis, Mike Tyson, David Tua, in no order... Others are up there, or almost there, Vitali Klitschko for example has an impressive record, but he was more of an accumulation puncher, Shannon Briggs, Bert Cooper, Frank Bruno, Razor Ruddock, Bonecrusher Smith, and more were hard/heavy hitters... Never got the hype regarding Bowe, never seemed a hard hitter, people who sparred him said that his power was nothing impressive and in Holyfield's range... Deontay Wilder is up there, but i'd like to see his power tested against better competition... Anthony Joshua never impressed me in his amateur/Olympic days, but now he seems evolved in a very dangerous hitter... Yep, Ken Norton had a decent ko record, good hitter for his time... Shavers, Liston, Williams are not in their league in my personal opinion, borderline cruisers that never proved their power against legit heavyweights, although i'm sure that for their days they were no doubt dangerous, but all you have are padded ko records and inconsistent, unreliable mythical stories from biased boxers...

I would put Foreman at the top. The dude was just naturally powerful. Even being slow and clumsy, and just all around not that impressive in his technique, he was able to knock guys out. Also look at Foreman in his 40's. Fat and old, and he still knocked guys out. Now you can say that at that time, he was fighting in a different league of heavyweights, the 90's, but still, it's mighty impressive and a testament to his true power. This is also why Wilder intrigues me. The guy has little technique, yet he knocks guys out. It's too early to say where he ranks, he's been knocking out nobodies, but if he cleans out the division in KO fashion, I think we can rank him up somewhere in the top 10 or 20.

I would say Tyson 2nd. He had some scary highlight reel KOs. So much so that his opponents would give up the moment the opening bell rang because they knew what was coming. There's such a mythical thing surrounding Mike Tysons power, that he has to be ranked behind Foreman. When he was at the top of his game. He was extremely powerful.

I would put Klitchko 3rd. The guy has some impressive KOs. A lot of it has to do with his reach, range, and technique, but he's had some impressive KOs and his reign as champ lasted so long.

After that it gets murky for me. There's so many guys who could be up here. Bowe could be here, just based on the fact that he rocked Holyfield so many times, a guy with one of the best chins in history. You could even go all the way back in time to the 30's and put Max Baer up here. He had solid punching power and even killed someone in the ring. It's hard to pick and so many names can be switched out with others.

Ken Norton and VITALI (not Wladymir) could ****, but my opinion is just subjective.

Agree on Bowe, but I think you should put Shavers up there.

Just by watching his fights you can see he has crazy power. Watch his knockdown of Holmes, I don't think I've seen a stronger punch land on another fighter like that.
