I would say Roy Jones for Y'all Musta Forgot.
Joe Frazier for If You Go, Stay Gone.

Can't remember who did the classic Amo gitche.

I know there have been some other top five hitters

Asked to strip away all other considerations such as timing, explosivness and precision, which I think are important aspects of KO technique often mistaken for pure power, I am forced to say Foreman. Never a sharp puncher, seldom very accurate and not explosive like a Tyson or Tua, big George was simply heavy handed. That is why studs get hit in the side of the head or on the ear and go down from his blows. Not the best punching heavyweight ever, but probably the hardest when you take everything but the power away.

Earnie SHavers had even heavier hands surely? Burst a glove, no ones ever done that, almost KOed Ali had him wobbled, Foreman couldnt wobble Ali, everyone that fought both said shavers hit harder, guys liek Ali beat both and said shavers hit harder so he had no reason to lie

Shavers punches were faster and more accurate than Foremans in my opinion. Its the punches that you don't see that hurt you the most. That George was relatively slow and inaccurate and still hurting guys is testament to his punching power. Ali was hurt worse against Cooper and Frazier while being a prime fighter than George or Earnie. I don't think anyone is going to put them in the same category as those guys though.

I see. Bursting gloves is the new standard, then.

Yes unless you burst a glove you are not in the same league as shavers.

Its like breaking boards in Karate, if you cant break 10 at once you dont hit as hard as someone that can.

Not taking away from Shavers power, but gloves can be faulty. Should we put Ali in the same category or close because he ripped his glove hitting Cooper?
