thats why it takes quite a breed to make a professional world champion. got to be as tough as nails mentally. golota was a little too human

He ruined Bowe and Grant and went 0-3 doing it. Weird career.

I got Vitali all day on sheer discipline alone.

My background check would be considered more than a head case if delved into beyond media attention!

To be honest I came from a well off family ,and neither Tyson or Hopkins has anything on me! Theres many loose screws out there, just not many smart ones

I didn't take up boxing because I had a rare disease, these guys threw it away!

I think with Golata particularly it was a fear of success.

Sometimes the very act of being succesful makes a person stop, i.e. throw it away... With me I was the runt...I never had the option to walk away knowing I had accomplished much. But the real ****ers made sure I didn't walk away...I consider myself lucky on that account.

From this perspective one can certainly say that it is incredibly ironick when guys who are real naturals just throw it away.

Vitalis resume is atrocious. Bowe dominated a prime undefeated ATG. Vitali's best win was a retired failure from the lewis era.

Vitali was put away in 6 rounds by a Lewis who looked like he was fighting drunk.
The worst buffonish performance he ever gave while he was at the very end of his career was enough to put Vitali away who he fought on only a couple weeks notice.
And the worst version of Sanders that ever stepped in the ring clowned Vitali in the opening stanza. If he had 12 rounds of fighting in him , he would probably have knocked Vitali out.

Agianst the best Bowe the stiff, upright , rigid Vitali gets popped with jabs and long right hands all night and busted up in close.

I love both fighters and think if they fought it would be fireworks. But I think Vitali would eventually drown his ass. I look at that fight as being a trilogy series and Vitali would win 2 out of 3 no problem. I used to love Bowe but I think where he would come up short against Vitali is his work ethic. Bowe was a lazy fighter and he trained lazy. IMO Bowe had the tools to be one of the best heavies ever but his laziness put a cap on how high he would go. And because of his laziness Vitali would win 2 out of 3 easily and one would be by KO.

I cannot picture Bowe looking even remotely in the fight against a prime Vitali. Vitali made many more defenses. Bowe beat Holyfield but no one else really. Golota beat him to shreds twice and Golota lost just about every other time he stepped up. Vitali might not have fought in the toughest era but he easily beat nearly all of his opponents. He also fought and was ahead on the scorecards against Lewis, who never would fight Lewis and then disappeared after the Golota fights while still in his prime. You really have to go with Vitali who fought on through various injuries into his forties. This is not a big knock on Bowe, though. Vitali would give any heavyweight a rough time.
