ray mercer, rid**** bowe all over 1000lb
Once again I will state...Rid**** Bowe was not a puncher and should not be listed in this or any other power puncher's thread...secondly....800lbs PSI is easily bonecrushing...it cuts through it like a hot knife through butter....

Now if your talking just flat out...they dealt 1600lbs of preasure with their punch....then yeah thats probably right and I would beleive that...but PSI is rediculous, peoples heads would pop like rotten wattermelons. But still their is no way Bowe hit as hard as Mercer...

Cooney never touched Spinks though...he stated himself that he was Hung over that fight, that was at the end of Cooney's career...The Holmes fight crushed him psychologically.

Tyson's power is a complete powder-puff joke compared to Cooney's and that's all their is to that...Cooney probably had the most powerful left hook in history. Broke Lyle's ribs with ONE PUNCH, in ONE ROUND!!! Cooney KO1 one body shot did it...The fight KO clip is on the Legendary Nights documentary.

        Yeah I know im multiposting...

Im buying a few clips of Shavers hitting the bag and Baer hitting it to off ot itnsource.com soon. Then we can compare everyone and see who was the hardest hitter ever.

IMO the best way to test punching power is letting someone rip into a 150lbs heavybag, it is as big as they get and well....lol

The discovery Channel did a special on p4p awesome stuff in nature like a shrimps tail flicking and stuff...in this special was EARNIE SHAVERS, they said his punch was equal to like a battlecruisers cannon going off or 32mm something like that. After that it shows him hit the bag and the back of it explodes! It rips the damn bag in half! IT ****ING POPS!!!!

But as for Frank Bruno, Shavers gave him alot of high rep for his punching power, said it was actually the closest to his own he had ever seen!

Tyson laid out Lar literally crucified on the canvas for 5 minutes. The eternal boxing question.

Wlad's right and left hook destroyed most in his era. See Ray Austin and Eddie Chambers.
