Look, there is no sane boxing fan who can say Ward has a better resume or comes close. I'm a fight fan not a fighter fan. If you want to carry this discussion on objectively, I'm willing to. If not, then you can **** right off.
You need to explain how Abraham was any worse for Ward than he was for Froch.
No intelligent boxing fan would say it's "insane" to rate Ward over Froch.
And neither your typical childish outburst or phony " I'm a boxing fan" speech impresses or convinces me. Save it for somebody who believes your act.Last edited by joseph5620; 01-15-2015, 12:46 AM.

you have to go to friggin lengths to make a case for froch being a better SMW than andre ward. it gets extremely silly the more you talk about it.
it's easy to say that ward is the greater SMW, and there's a reason for that.
anybody who thinks froch was the best sMW of this era is doing it wrong. i can't see how anybody with a clue would dispute that.
ask carl froch if he's a better fighter than andre ward.
froch fought everybody and didn't always win. you guys seem to forget that he lost his two biggest fights, and had no business even being in the ring with ward. you forget that froch had zero interest in a rematch.

we can't let stuff like that inconvenience the anti-ward rhetoric, bro.

If you're talking head to head I think Froch would lose to a number of fighters at that weight. Including Calzaghe, Jones Jr, Ward who Froch openly admitted he couldn't beat lol but some people still want to make a case for him.
Those factors have to be considered and you can't be called "the best" when your resume is not far superior to the fighter that clearly beat you.
Losses count. And losing to both Ward and Kessler means something.

exactly. i think "resume" is a convenient excuse because of ward's inactivity. ward has the better resume. froch lost his two biggest fights, and ward dominated better fighters than froch ever beat. if froch's resume is so great, ward should be held in high regard for making him look like an amateur.
i don't see anybody talking about how great the resume of george groves, lucian bute, andre dirrell are, for example.

Their resumes are comparable that's at the absolute very least.
Is that because Ward has done nothing in the also 3 years? Yes. No two ways about it that is why. It gave Froch 3 years to do work while Ward stayed still.
But as of right now that's simply the case.
I really don't see the point in continuing this debate because the chances of Ward putting it to bed now he's out of his contract are very high as long as he doesn't move up which he says he doesn't.
