how can anyne rate Froch, a super ordinary fighter higher than Jones? am I missing something? or is it because of the division per se? I mean Ward outclassed the guy, so how could he possibly be better than Ward? Ward beat the same guys....am I missing something?

Calzighe, don't think much of him....but christ on a cross....HE WAS BETTER THAN FROCH!!!

Jones was the most outstanding, Ward may yet become the best.

Kessler and Froch are decent fighters, but quite ordinary. Grebb was sensational and Jones was an ATG. I adore Ward but probably have to concede that Jones would be better.

Sure his resume has some holes but the man could fight and would be a big factor in any era.
Yeah, that's exactly how I feel about calzaghe.. Like you said, some resume holes but the guy was a really good fighter and compete vs anyone

I agree about Froch. He lost to both Kessler and Ward and Ward beat both handily. I dont see any logical reason to rate him above Ward.

I would say Jones jnr is the best SM ever but Ward has the best resume at that weight.

Ward's resume/activity the past three years has been so pathetic it has become easier to dismiss him. Assuming in the next year he has a couple of dominant performances this will change.

                Exactly.

Simple explanation is Froch has a better resume. At the moment.

Doesn't change the fact that he clearly beat Froch. What he's done or hasnt done in the last two years doesn't erase that. Ward is still unbeaten. Froch is not.

Oh no doubt, he dominated Froch. But that was three years ago and Froch has since beaten Bute, Kessler, and Groves while Ward only has a win over ordinary Edwin Rodriguez. If we're talking strictly resume the gap has definitely narrowed. And if they fought again I'd pick Ward without thinking twice.
