Moore was incredible. Its hard for me to rank him because when I look at Moore there are a couple of aspects to him. He was a guy who fought in many weight classes...competatively! Including giving Marciano a hell of a time of it.

In some respects we could call Moore an Ubergatekeeper. The only guy who ever really took him to school was Burley, many of his fights whether he got the W or not showed just how good he was. A guy like Moore could walk into any weak division and become a king.

The thing about Moore also was that because his approach to the game was so "workman" think of a guy like Glenn Johnson for example....Glen got lots of bad decisions against him, always fought competatively and beat Jones up.....and because Moore made it look so easy, he prolly does not get the credit he deserves.

Fact of the matter is Moore was phenominal and had few if any weaknesses. I can't rate guhys like Moore or Burley except to say that when you see a fighter like Glen Johnson you can see the attitude (maybe not the same skill level as Moore) these guys brought to the ring.

Good example with glen johnson, that was the first thought i had when trying to describe moore's career.. Obviously moore is a better fighter, but career similarities are there...

Exactly how i feel... I have him somwhere between 13-23 ATG.. No slight to him, but there is just so many great fighters, i find it rather hard to have him top 10 or even top 15... Im not gonna try and argue if someone has him rated top 10, i just dont feel he warrants it over other guys

I usually have moore around 14-16

                  Moore

Not really in proper order, but off the top of my head, its something like that
and im probably leaving off a name or 2...

Moore is somwhere for me between 14-25 with the likes of floyd, manny, roy, hearns, monzon

He is a lock for top 25,, most likely top 20, i just dont think he cracks top 10, and depending on your criteria, he is somewhere in the teens...

Like i said before, i dont have a problem if someone has him at 6, but thats not how i rank him...

                    Don't really see these similarities.

Moore beat a lot of good fighters, great fighters. Glen Johnson barely beat any.

Which guys doesn't he warrant do you think?

I mean you have Pep above him. How does he rank above Moore? I don't get it.

Burley, Hagler, Whitaker. I can't see how they're ahead or Moore.

I can see Moore being outside the Top 10 but I can't see how he's outside the Top 15.
