Ripped to shreds at modern heavyweight:

6 ft Joe Frazier with a gut like 6'9 Tyson Fury

Average weight of Ali's opponents: 204 lbs
That's 204 lbs (straight up), no cutting, so most of those guys would cut to 175 nowadays or be very small cruiserweights.
      Are you seriously another alt?

That blog is the dumbest thing I've ever read. EVER.

yet you fail to counter this obvious photo evidence.

            You lose, again.

That's what these idiots don't understand is that Ali was a bigger man than guys like Louis, Holyfield etc. he was 6"3 and 210-15 of lean, superbly conditioned muscle. The guy carried no fat at all when he was in fighting shape, and with weight training (the only aspect of the sport that has changed since Ali's time) he would have easily been a ripped 220-25 with the same athletic abilities.
                Lean, superbly conditioned muscle...
Do you even know the definition of that?

I know it might mean sitting on your couch and eating donuts in your case.

Ali was in good condition but he was far from being lean/ripped, he had great stamina but he was far from being a guy who carried 210-15 lbs very well like you see people of today.

Getting muscle in his era was more than possible aswell, yes he had a foundation of muscle but not anywhere close to the guys of today or even the guys he fought they were just a little bit bigger than he was and they carried the weight just a bit better hence why you'd never see Ali go to the weights of 250lbs if he was in this modern era.

Look at how the body evolves...

Arguably his best shape was in the mid 70s and then on after not as much, the body is something that should be maintained and improved on from start to finish.

                • Ali is good but he never had the opportunity to fight someone who was a tough rugid Eastern European who was 6ft5 and was able to use his height and reach advantage like Wladimir or Vitali.

Boxing in that era was mainly all set in USA, boxing evolved in countries like Ukraine, Russia, Germany as they further took an interest into the sport and found their superstars of the sport, If the WW2 never happened who knows what could of been?

Alot of those countries went through hell and it took them a long time to re-establish themselves but now it is evident that these countries are excelling with these big heavyweight divisions.
If only Brazil would take an interest into boxing then we'd likely have another big set of superstars in the sport.

                  • INCREDIBLE physique, I've never seen anything like it. And he maintained this physique at a colossal 188-236 pounds (at the latter figure, he was too fat and old to even post photos of without feeling like I'm taking a cheap shot, so lets say more like 188-220).
