I definitely remember that one, saw it live on HBO and watched it again recently.

I remember those, always liked Kelley, he had a lot of heart. Too bad he lost most of his big fights. Also Kelley-Rivera was a great comeback.

          Cooper v Ali 2
Everybody talks about the first one, never the second one

Duran/SRL 3,,, no one ever talks about this,, yes it was a pretty meaningless and boring fight, but people only ever talk about the first 2, and many dont even realize they fought a third time

            another would be foreman-frazier 2,,,,,

            Any others my history buffs
Thomas Hearns and Virgil Hill. It was a significant win for Hearns legacy but also a boring tactical fight.

Now there's one I actually saw live. Hurtado almost ruined the DLH fight didn't he?

I remember that one. It wasn't exciting but Hearns showed he was elite!

Kelly was in some great fights, and the fight with "Smoke" Gainer turned Gainer from a RJJ cheap imitation to a truly unwatchable runner.

The Kelly vs Hamed fight was a scorcher also and introduced Hamed to HBO.

How about Mike Moorer vs Alex Steward great fight as long as it lasted.

And Mike Moore vs Bert Cooper, damn just go watch Bert Cooper's almost entire career to see great fights that no one talks about

Watson v Benn tends to get very badly overlooked because of the whole Benn v Eubank rivalry and to a certain degree the deeply tragic outcome of Michael's last fight with Eubank.

It was not for a world title belt, but this was the contest that effectively kicked-off the classic four-sided, back-and-forth rivalry between Nigel, Chris, Michael and Steve Collins. It was the dramatic opening act for a golden era.

Watson was supreme that night, having the confidence to let a hugely hyped-up Benn punch himself out and then masterfully hitting on the counter and picking the right moment to turn defence into attack.

It is a classic matador v bull encounter and one of the reasons Mike Watson is still held in such high regard by Brit fight fans; he probably handled Benn better than anyone else and did it with style and class.
