How do you guys see this fight going? Would Roy's speed be to much would his body punching wear Spinks down? Or would Spinks height size and power be to much for roy? I notice Spinks didn't use alot of head movement at least in the fights I've seen him in which can spell trouble for him but he was so tall and awkward so I don't know if it would matter much I can only see this fight playing out in one way knock out either from a Spinks right hand or a jones body shot due to Spinks thin frame I don't see him hurting Spinks to the head chin seemed pretty solid. But I'd like to hear your guys views.

This is a truly intriguing matchup; but would most assuredly be a nightmare to watch. Awkward vs Unorthodox.
Well, my gut tells me Jones would have the edge simply based on his vast physical ability. Spinks was a very heady fighter and had the ability to adjust as the fight went on if his well choreographed game plan didn't meet with success from the start. While Spinks was more sound technically, he wasn't what you would call a "classic boxer" by any stretch of the imagination. That awkwardness and the power of his right, combined with his ability to take a shot....and the difficulty in hitting him solid is what gave him that 31-0 unbeaten streak when Tyson steamrolled his ass in '88.
The problem he would face against Jones is unbelievable speed, unfathomable reflexes, and power to boot. It would be a weird fight to watch for the first few rounds, I think, with both fighters trying to figure the other one out. But Jones, also being an extraordinarily intelligent fighter in his own right, would find the ***** in Spinks' armor first; or, at least, he's be the first one to be able to capitalize on it due to his superior physical ability. Somewhere in the mid to later rounds, Jones would counter with a wickedly fast punch and Spinks would go down.
Now, depending on whether R.J. or Roy Jones Jr. was in the ring at that point would determine whether or not this is a T.K. O. or an embarrassingly easy decision for Jones, IMHO.
Either way, I'd put my money on the Pensacola Phenom.

I actually like Jones in this one. What I consider to be his physical prime came at 175 and I believe that he could give most people, if not anyone, a headache at the weight on his day. Put it this way, I don't see Spinks winning a decision over Jones. If he's to win it'll have to be by knocking Jones' out and I feel that Jones' speed and reflexes will enable him to evade Spinks' power shots.Last edited by Bolo Punch; 08-13-2013, 07:28 PM.

I'll go with spiinks on this one but rj is always gonna have some debate on his side. so dam fast with unreal reflexes, u could always say spinks might not b able to hit him but imo if del valle could hit him clean even if it was only like once in the whole fight, well then somewhere along the course of a fight spinks hits him and then finishes him within a round or two after. spinks will hit him not by chasing him but scoring with the stick n awkwardly moving like spinks used to then catching roy leaning in
