G-man and Eubanks vs Roy were never realistic fights. As discussed already in this thread the only time Nunn was realistic Roy turned it down and ended up taking a MUCH tougher fight.

Collins, Liles and Benn were realistic fights but in the very limited time Roy spent at 168 none of the fights developed and none of the 3 moved up to 175 to continue to purse a fight.
this post is BS, admit it your hero (Jones) could have fought better competition while a 168 lb beltholder. Don't make BS excuses

lol Roy's not even one of my favorite fighters, I just think he's the best.

Yes better fights could of been made in the 19 months he spent at 168. If Benn Collins and Liles would have moved up to 175 and kept winning the fights would of eventually happened.

Either way if you are going to b!tch about him not fighting Collins and Benn then you can't act like Reggie Johnson and Thulani Mulinga were bums.

So how good overall WAS Roy's resume then. At the time, I kept hearing about how Roy wasn't fighting this guy or that guy or that maybe he was just that much better than his opponents. He still won every major title belt at the time at light heavy and picked up the belt from The Ring. So how good was he then?

He could of had a better SMW legacy he grew outta middle weight so I don't think that really matters. But his LHW resume was a good as it could of been he cleaned the division out beat all the belt holders except one he fought his share of bums and good oppents as does any fighter people tend to bash him because of the fights that didnt happen at SMW but he spent most of his time at LHW IMO that's what should be looked at the most. As for how good was he well his reign at LHW should answer that by its self but its also personal opinion. Some think he's great others think he beat a bunch of nobodies but that's just not the case. At least not at LHW

So Hagler couldn't handle RJJ speed and power? Anybody see the Hearns fight?

Exactly right. Roy would've whipped all of those limeys anyway. Slappy and Eubanks knew it.

Not sure Roy easily handles the G-Man? the rest sure!

At middleweight Roy has the advantage when it comes to speed and dexterity but the nod goes to Hagler in boxing skill/iq, heart, chin and power. RJJ never fought anyone who even remotely compares to Hagler.

Jones may trouble Hagler early but the constant pressure applied by Hagler, along with Roy's suspect chin, would eventually spell doom for RJJ. Granted, I could also see Roy getting a SRL style gift decision but I think the majority of the time Hagler wins this match up.

Hagler couldn't handle Roy's speed and size. Yes Roy is much faster and much bigger than Hearns
