More than half of them are HOF fighters, plus I take the first Louis fight into account. That only would be equal to Floyd going to 168 or even 175 and having the same kind of showing against Ward or Dawson.

What's happened to the Cotto fight? In my opinion, Cotto looked better trained in that fight than I think I had ever seen him.
Are people really going to now say that Cotto was shot, or way past it? I really think that was, without any doubt, up there among his greatest performances.

Not way past it, just past it.
The fact is that people were calling for him to fight Cotto when he originally retired in 2007, as well as Magarito, yet waited almost 4 1/2 years to fight the former and never faced the latter.

Maybe earlier on in his career he did, but then he started cherry picking to protect his "0".
The idea of Mayweather stepping in the ring with Mosley in 2010 was considered fantasy and next to impossible but of course as per usual once Mayweather fights him and beats him its a complete 180.
The same thing will happen when he fights Canelo.

Floyd is undoubtedly up there with the best ever skill-wise, this is clear when you watch him fight. He controls every aspect of what happens in the ring, every punch every movement every change of direction is all about putting him one step ahead and thats why he never loses.
Resume wise no he isn't on the same top 10 level as guys like Greb, Armstrong, Robinson etc but no fighter from modern times is and never will be. They don't fight often enough these days to build the deep resumes those guys had. Those guys all fought dozens and dozens of contenders, champs, ex-champs, ex-contenders etc

Think it was Barnburner who said it earlier and i agree, REAL boxing guys like the people who post here and know there stuff dont give him enough credit, he will be missed in a big way when he's gone. I wonder if people are reluctant to give him full credit because of his fan boys who think he is UNBEATABLE and dont know nothing about half the fighters that came before him or if its more of a resentment that he fights so little and picks his fights based on buisness?
Me i think he actually beats Sweet Pea H2H and many other top fighters. Duran, some think he outboxes and there is a case for it, that alone tells u all u need to know - he's a great fighter. Me though i think Cholo runs him outta the ring!
