Tyson hit harder than Foreman and Earnie Shavers

What's it all really matter between "hits harder" or "heavy handed" or "has better technique and speed"?
The name of the game in boxing is doing damage. I seriously doubt Thomas Hearns was a heavy handed guy. His power came from his right hand traveling from point A to point B with with frightening velocity and with great technique and leverage. Any doubts about where he stands amongst the hardest punchers ever? I will guarantee Pipino Cuevas had much heavier hands than Tommy did, but I think only a handful would consider him a harder/better puncher than Hearns. That's because when Hearns threw punches people fell down at quite a higher rate than most did against most other fighters in history.
That's all that matters.

lickamulekick; Walter was under Giovanni Branchinni's stable and I did not train him I was in Whimpy Halstead corner that night. It was on the Leo Cruz vs L. Stecca world title fight. Whimpy was beating the hell out of Walter and the ref would not break Walters holds on Jerry! I started getting on the ref as the crowd did too. The fight was a semi 10 rounder that was changed to an 8 after the second round!!! hahaha!!! They gave Walter a decision because he was the Italian champ and getting ready to fight for some European title. They didn't know that when Whimpy was motivated he could actually fight a little!! I motivated him!!! haha! The show was at the multi access indoor facility in Milan (forget the name) and its a beautifull building. Branchinni put up a top quality show all the time and El' Restuarante was the accomidations and the Too Tip gym is where we trained!
bennyst; your wrong about fighters and other trainers not having BS to deal with here. The first few times as signed in here young John Scully was being attacked by some jerk who was also on Rockin' and totally disrespecting and discrediting them!! I knew Scully when he was a kid boxing out of Mac Buckleys gym in Hartford and posted on that thread to lend my two cents and was immediately told that if I didn't back off I'd get hurt!
Let me make this clear to everyone here!
I'm from a generation that doesn't accept verbal insults and threats as verbal banter!! I accept it as a threat!! My name is posted, I don't hide it! If someone disrespects me I have no problem defending myself as any other man would do! Since this is the land of cyber BS'ers I can only say "don't sing it, bring it" I'm easy to find hell I'll even come get you at the airport!!
I know of posters who have moved on from here not wanting to deal with fanatics and the know it alls that have never Done anything in the sport other than offer opinions on here! So be it! The bottom line its just a forum for the fans to blow off steam, my son told me what the site was about.
He was right!

Are you aware that there are people in this world that have a severe medical condition which causes them to be that way? My mother for instance is one of those people. She is a truck driver that has bad knees and a bad back from driving the truck but you probably do not care about that case either. Oh well I am not one of those people I am 6'4" 245lbs and I exercise every day. I would love to see you say something like to my mother in front of me. Probably never happen though you are probably just an internet tough guy. I doubt very seriously you would say that to someones face. Just my thought. What do you think. Oh I am sorry you probably do not have a brain. I on the other hand will be happy to buy you a plane ticket to come here and see if you have the nerve to say that to someone I know.

Hey hey people...calm down here and stick to the topic. Conduct discussions here like gentlemen. I have learnt a hell lot about boxing by following this forum. Terrific posters like Yogi, Kid Achilles, Dempsey 1919, taught me not only a great deal about the sport, but also a lot about social networking, and how to debate properly in internet forums
Whatever your problems may be with the unfortunate Ray Corso, come to an amiable solution without making a public spat.

By the way, I saw another one of your e-fight challenges to the whole board. That's what real men do!
I'll take it up Ray! Just head down to the travel agent, buy me a ticket to the US, first class of course, book and pay for a nice hotel for a few extra days so I can go sightseeing, you can drive me around if you want (can you still drive?) and I'll even let you tell me about every single minor life achievement, no matter irrelevant to the point at hand, you've had while I take my happy snaps. It'll stop you having to type them all up, and it'll stop the other fellas here having to read them. Deal? Awesome. Can't wait.

I learned a long time ago that if you have to resort to violence, you've already lost the argument and it doesn't automatically make you right just because you might be able to beat someone up.
