of all the fighters who ever boxed robinson is generally recognized to be least flawed
no fighter is perfect
robinson at WW came the closest.
i think then, by virtue of that distinction, he's go to be the favorite heading into a fight at WW against anybody who has ever weighed 147 for a fight.
if you made me pick against him i'd say prime leonard might have the style
he was strong, fast, durable, skilled, and a winner

It's hard to see any welterweight outbox SRR. But in boxing a knockout is always a possibility. And Ketchel was pound-for-pound one of the hardest punchers ever and arguably the hardest hitting WW of all time.
Knocking out Robinson was nigh on impossible, but if any welterweight could do it Ketchel was the man.

Did Stanley Ketchel fight at Welterweight?
I know if he did it was a very breif stay and consisted of almost nothing.

two people that Robinson had trouble with around his prime: Marty Servo, and Jose Basora.
problem is I dont know jack **** about either fighter and havent seen any film of them, so I dont know what Robinson's weaknesses might be.

I don't think anyone can take a perfect flush
hook ala Fullmer II @ WW. Even if they get up they don't survive.

I call a SRR/SRL fight a pickem, and hes the one I'd say had the best chance. Robinson has more power and definitely the better chin, but Ray matches up with his speed pretty well, he had the better technique and the higher ring IQ IMO. Its a toss up for me.
