Just don't like the goofball opinions of SCtrojan in this thread.

I definitely thought Hagler beat Antuofermo but the only reason it was close was Hagler' fighting ******. Against Duran(who was pretty much featherfisted at middleweight) Hagler should have mauled him and instead was trying to time him with big punches and was made to look very bad at times.

You gonna discuss 1993 Hopkins being stronger than prime Hagler, or what?

            big and fast arent everything...
Hopkins @ 160 prime was crafty, fast and had underrated power. When he used to open up like he did against Glenn Johnson, he was very dangerous.

Roy's win over an ATG is very underrated.

He beats Haggler @ 160, 9 out of 10 times IMO.

He was also involved in a terrible car crash after the Hagler fight, which tore up a lot of his muscles.

I do not remember anything about Mugabi being in a serious car accident. Any details?

I read it in a book called War, Baby. The writer said he was in a bad accident before the Norris fight. I'll post up excerpts from the book tomorrow

                  • Nothing Jones did at 160 suggests he would be equipped to handle Hagler's caliber. Roy would get outboxed.

                    • Yeah beating HOFer Bernard Hopkins and shutting out Castro who is probable as good as anybody Hagler beat besides Hearns
