I think Vitali looks a lot more relaxed when he is fighting. Wlad looks tighter and when he gets hit he does not react as well as Vitali. Vitali also can work at a higher tempo and seems to have more punch vareity and creativity.

Wladimir: Better boxing skill, hits harder, better jab, much better resume
Vitali: More durable, better stamina, higher workrate, less embaressing losses

        My vote goes to Wladimir.

Polished technique doesn't make up for a weak chin and poor stamina. Not to mention Vitali never lost to pro-golfers and Ross ****ing Purrity. Losing to Purrity at any point prior to being washed up disqualifies you from being taken seriously in any ATG discussion.

That's always been my belief as well.

thats silly. a lot of great fighters have lost early in their careers. If youre going to hold losses against Wladimir, then do so with golfer and Brewster. not Purrity.

Wlads division may be weak, but he certainly has beaten better opponents than his brother.

I think Wlad is great. He's a dominating champion and nobody in the division can compete with him whether it's weak or not. He's doing his job. But that loss to Puritty will have an impact on his career whenever he's compared to past ATG champions.

well, it shouldnt. Jack Johnson, Harry Wills, Jack Dempsey and Sonny Liston all lost early in their careers too. Shouldnt prevent them from being ATGs.

I agree with you. But I'm going by how most boxing fans view history.
