Probably because TV gives only a narrow, shallow view of anything it focuses on. There's a reason why PHD theses don't use a television media format :geek9:

Visual media stimulate emotional responses rather than the intellect. Don't expect video PHDs anytime soon. Feelings are irrelivent in academic disciplines, it's your intellect that counts.....and visual media are a poor means of conveying detailed knowledge.

Yet things like that are more and more common as less and less ppl want to put on pants to get up go out and enter a class room.

Thanks for being patient with this young wet behind the ears whippersnapper during this wind up though even if most here disagree with either of K2 being competitive even beating any HWs ever from the past, I do depending on what particular style of fighter we are talking about Wlad or VK being up against.

And education levels are plummiting as a result. Funny how the best test scores seem to come from countries where the boob tube influences are minimal.

Now I don't think anyone here thinks Vitali at least wouldn't be competive in other eras, a champion is awholenother story. Vitali has the chin and workrate to be competitive, but is too lacking in other areas to be one of the greats. A top contender? Sure. Just not a dominant champion.

Wlad lacks the chin, stamina, and work rate (a consequence of his chin and stamina issues) to do very well in better eras. Where Wlad is concerned too many people are confusing the pros with the ams. They see his more polished technique and immediately proclaim him the better of two Ks. No. That kind of polish goes over good in the ams, but in the pros chin and stamina (and yes, toughness) count for a whole hell of a lot more than in the ams. Against good competition a weak chin WILL inevitably be exposed. Against good competition a low work-rate (pacing as a result of a lack of stamina) isn't good enough to win decisions. Wlad gets away with it because he faces opponents who have a noticable reach disadvantage AND have little inclination or ability to do the things a fighter at a disadvantage in reach needs to do to be effective.

That's it in a nutshell really. A well constructed excellent post.

Both Klits are very good fighters in an unfortunately weak era.

I dont believe this i think Vitali at any age is a much better fighter than Wlad. Vitali Has a great chin, good power, and doesnt have fear. Wlad is a good fighter in the heavyweight division today and his only test is haye in my eyes but i dont rate his chin and he always backs off when he punches. He has improved and is a dominate champ. For me its Vitali thats the man! What do you think?
Wlad has more skills but Vitali is tougher, meaner, and by far has the better chin.

You sure about that? If you're naturally assuming both men will hit you at will (given you're a man on the street, & they're pro fighters) Wlad hits a hell of a lot harder than Vitali does.
