He said, " Georgie,You'll never believe this but, ****in' Tyson is scared **** less of Foreman and wants no part of him. I was there when Don was trying to make the fight. Tyson got up and screamed at King saying, 'I'm not fight in' that ****in' animal, if you love the mother****er so much, you fight him!'""

So a C-grade fighter like Tony Tucker takes Tyson the distance and wins 4-5 rounds, and Lennox Lewis is a "one round KO" for Tyson? Bwahahaha!

I agree Lennox wouldve ended Joe's streak, but Tyson couldnt win either so the point is moot.

As for Joe only fighting smaller guys, you couldnt be more wrong....

        Abe SImon 6'4, 255 lbs

        Buddy Baer 6'7, 250 lbs

        Primo Carnera 6'6, 260 lbs

All of the above wouldve KO'd Mike Tyson just like Mcbride, Williams and Douglas did.

Lewis and Holy never fought anyone the caliber of Louis and both lost to lesser fighters in their prime. I wouldn't argue a win for either guy over Louis, but its crazy to just dismiss Joe, he was in incredible fighter with power and speed on par with anyone they fought and technical skills superior to any.

Why do people try to downplay his skill? He started boxing when he was 12. He was taken in by a boxing god who adopted him and worked with him everyday and turned him into a wrecking machine and fed him film every night from the worlds largest collection. Why is it so hard to believe and accept that he is incredibly skilled. IF he wasn't there would be something wrong. He was basically raised in the art of boxing and his adoptive father/manager/trainer was the best in the history of the sport.

Show me where he had stamina issues. It is easy to see guys like Lewis, Vlad, Vitali all winded after a few short rounds - those are guys with stamina issues. Tyson had no trouble going late into a fight. What are you basing your claims on?
Instead of talking just to talk, please back it up, as I can and I have. You just make claims without a basis.

Its my first post in this thread, so i havent made any claims. But i wouldnt need to as Tyson told me this himself in that documentary that came out last year. Seeing it youre a huge Tyson fan, i guess you must have seen it??

anyway, he carefully explains how he had some sort of trouble breathing after the 4th or the 5th and therefore would allways try to get rid of his opponent before then.

He could be just talking **** i know, but throughout the film he is being very honest about everything else in his career

They all would have knocked out Tyson? Wow

You're right, I shouldn't dismiss Joe so easily. I just feel the era he was in wasn't very strong and also behind in the times. Fighters now days know more and train differently. I think if Louis was around now, he would have been much better. I like to compare Louis to guys from Marciano and earlier. I think Louis was the best of that lot by far.

Still don't buy it. Anything can be written in an article. Boxers are not afraid of each other.

You cannot simply attribute word-for-word quotes to identified individuals. That's slander, & the writer would be sued from here to the ends of the Earth.

You can't just get away with making quotes like that in a publication up out of nothing.
