That article is from 2012! Holyfield was thankfully did not fight Vitali. Vitali would have destroyed him from 2001-2012. When was there a purse offer for a fight? You tend not to answer my questions.

The promotional pictures were already taken, but when Danny Williams knocked Tyson out, the fight wasn't in demand and Vitali fought him instead. History 101. You never learn. From 1999 right up until the Toney fight Holfield was a ranked contender Vits could have only benefitted from fighting. How would I know if there was a purse offered? They were both Ring ranked contenders during these years. Could Vits or Wlad not have fought him then?
