Ali has the better resume and ducked noone. Thats why hes greater than SRR.

Ali never got KOed by a Schmelling. Ever hear of Joe Louis' bum of the month club where he racked up his numerous defences. Ali would have broken that had he not been forced into exile.

Ali has more heart than Duran.

ali vs louis- ill give you debatable
ali having more heart than duran means absolutely nothing in terms of success and where they rank in the best fighters
im ot even going to bother with ali and robinson
      the best, but eithers ali

also naming famous fighters who got beat by lesser fighters doesnt mean anything because practically every top fighter in history got beat by someone less talented by them, it just happens

He doesnt deserve to be ranked that high up. If he does then so does Floyd.

I mean TS has him ahead of SRL ffs.
How many Barney Ross fights have you seen?

Absurd. Ross has beaten much better fighters than Floyd and was the first fighter to hold 3 titles simultaneously when there were only about 10 divisions and only 1 champ in each. Canzoneri was the p4p best when Ross beat him and McLarnin was (may be mistaken here) too. Both were better than anybody on Floyds resume. Add in Klick, Garcia, Fuller, Petrolle and its no contest. With all due respect, you really need to brush up on your history instead of just relying on boxrec.

As for Lopez, yeah, 24 title defenses is really pathetic.

And the people who think his competition was weak are generally people who simply don't follow the strawweight division. It's always been my favorite division, and his competition was nothing to sneeze at. I'd rank several of his challengers far higher than many of Joe Louis' challengers.
Ahhhh, trust me when I say that I have followed the lower weight classes more than most historically and know a fair bit about them. I know all about every one of Lopez' opponents and have watched every one of his major challengers fight careers as well.

Who do you think was good enough that would put him in the top ten? Also, I'm not one of these guys that pretend to be a fan to seem more legitimate. He is genuinely one of my favourite fighters so don't think I don't know about him and his opponents.

That means that Mayweather shouldn't be on your list anywhere as he is a brutal woman beater. I'd rather be a junkie than a prick who beats up on women, including the mother of your own child.

How has Ross beaten much better fighters?

Only one of those fighters Canzoneri you mention is an ATG. Floyd has Castillo, Mosley, DLH, Corrales and JMM who are all at the very least HOFers.

Mayweather has won titles in every divison Ross did. Mayweather beat the best at 130 Corrales, 135 Castillo, 140 Hatton ducked him but Floyd later beat him at 147 where Hatton was a champ also, 147 Judah, Mosley, Baldomir all WW champs. 154 DLH was regarded the best champion at this weight at the times. If there was only 1 champion in a weight class Floyd would still be a 5 weight champion.

You count his wins over Mosley and JMM as great wins? I personally thought he lost the first Castillo fight as well
