dont you guys know...the Klitschko's arent allowed having a prime. No one on here ever says, man imagine how good Vitali would have been if he didnt get hurt and leave boxing for half a decade. All you hear about is how Ali was robbed having to fight exhibitions for 3 years as opposed to pro fights and how much that hurt him....Klitschko's=no prime allowed. People still bring up the Purrity loss. A young Wlad, fighting his 12th fight in 12 months, killing a guy, gets exhausted.

If you put this version of Wlad against any fighter he ever fought, heck probably any fighter ever, he'd win. He understands boxing, completely different style, but similar to PBF...boxing is about hitting the opponent and not getting hit back.

The guy makes a point. Size matters, thats why every other division has weight classes, thats why guys like Adamek who are ridiculously skilled cant KO guys like Grant. Thats why Grant and Arreola can almost buckle great fighters like Adamek. Thats why RJJ could cherry pick John Ruiz but couldnt come close to finishing him and he wouldnt even attempt to fight a Lennox Lewis. Size matters. You boxing historians like to pretend it doesnt, like to pretend the super heavies are the same as teh guys in the past. Im curious, and id love to see an article on this but I have searched and it doesnt exist. How many boxers today are over 6'4 as opposed to the 70's or before. If the logic is, the larger the pool the better the talent. There clearly are much more today, but I am curious how many more.
They are called reactionary posts, in response to what you've been polluting this part of the forum with for the past couple of months.

27 years old, 40-1, was that prime?

Wladimir Klitschko was 21 years old, 24-0 against 24-13 journeyman Ross Puritty.
Joe Louis was 21 years old, 24-0 against former heavyweight champion Max Schmeling.

Both lost past round 10, but Louis was prime, Wladimir was green as grass.

Oh they should IMO. Just not while degrading others in untimely ways. There has been plenty of fair Klitschko threads debating how they'd perform against the former greats, but this is getting ridiculous.

Max Schmeling weighed 192 lbs. Big difference. He also had only once beat a guy who weighed over 200 lbs (202 lbs guy with 15 losses). Size matters. Deal with it.

So Sonnyboy is writing reactionary posts? Because it seems to me he brings up Klitschko's in every thread and then people react to him. Look at the berbick thread...who was he reacting to there? What a joke.

And its not degrading to the Klitschko's to say theyd get beat by every fighter who retired before 1990? Or that Vitali is the same size as Cleveland Williams?

Here are the rules, you can say whatever you want about the Klitschko's say theyd lose to club fighters or fighters who we dont have video tape on...thats fine, but if someone says they never lost to a guy Joe Louis's size, wouldnt fear his power as he punched up to hit them etc..and would simply be too big etc...thats insanity...but Sonnyboy saying the Kltischko's would lose to one guy who weighed 170 lbs...thats fine.

praytell who was this in response to as the only other poster in the thread was yourself.

Berbick is not an IBHOF fighter but i would favor him to beat any heavyweight in the world today, Berbick could fight 15rds and still be very dangerous in rounds 10-15 which would stand him in good sted today against these unfit jokers.
Its a joke post. Clearly trolling. Berbick never won a round past the 12th and only went past the 12th once. Also Vitali and wlad arent fit? How is this better than a guy who believes a guy was a 6 inch height advantage and 60 lbs weight advantage who is world heavyweight champion at 39 would win the fight?

It's degrading calling Louis a midget.

The way i see it you can say all you want about the klits beating anybody in history. Heck I've argued that they'd fair very well against the greats, but don't expect all to agree and dont expect anybody to take a poster like the TS serious.

If you know him, you know how he gets. Trust me, there would hardly be a mention of Wladimir Klitschko if it wasn't for all these bait threads. And even if he did mention them, it hardly excuses making thread after thread about the same subject, putting down all-time greats for no other reason than to spite some posters that you dislike.
