It ain't that bad. He did say best chance and even still said it was unlikely.
Jones, Maybe, the guy was a monster.
Hopkins... No, I don't even think he hits much harder than Leonard.
Toney... Again, maybe, but far from likely
McCellan... another small maybe
Robinson did have KO power at Middleweight, and he also had speed, and skill, so it's debatable. I'd give him the advantage of winning the fight, that's for sure,

I think Hagler by destruction is far more likely than Joe by any type of KO. Joe's power is over-rated, and so is his chin.
That being said, I don't even think Joe is likely to win that one on points. But that's just my opinion.

Calzaghe was quick but didn't have the power of most of the fighters that Hagler went to war with.
Calzaghe's style which worked against fighters with a low work-rate, would prove ineffective against someone with power, chin, conditioning, and high work-rate of his own in Hagler.
Would be competitive early on, but Hagler's aggression would be too much for Calzaghe. He throws quick combos moving forward and he would eventually get timed and battered by Hagler in the middle rounds.
Hagler by 7th round KO.

I hate doing fantasy fights with Joe Calzaghe because he really never had a prime. He just adapted to his opposition. I think it was Nigel Benn that said that Joe would always fight at the same level as his opponents, that's why he never exploded onto the scene as a fighter because he edged out most of his opponents of all caliber. If he fought a club fighter, he would only fight one step high then him. If he fought the number one contender, he would fight one step above him. He would never really fight leagues above his opponents as often as a lot of great fighters like Ali, Mayweather, and Pac. Earlier in his career he was 25-0 with 23 KO's. He had A LOT of power back in the day, but he wasn't a fighter with too much of a name outside of the UK, that's why we barely hear about it. Then with the hand injuries, he completely revamped his style and became much more of a boxer, which his KO ratio would go down and make him less flashy. I've never seen a boxer who was able to make as many fights competitive with fighters of all calibers.
I think either one between Calzaghe and Hagler has a chance to edge each other out with a UD. I look at it this way, if they had a trilogy of fights, neither of them would go 3-0. One would at least win once while the other twice with all three matches being competitive and close.

Calzaghe never boxed below SMW in his entire pro career and I'm not sure why TS would think Hagler would need this advantage.

No hate on Joe but he does not have the power to keep Hagler off of him. Hagler was wonderful at cutting off the ring and he was the best southpaw to orthodox fighter that I have ever seen. He would have won, no doubt in my mind.
