Foreman is a better boxer than Lewis but Lewis got this by UD he would use his long reach and footwork and dance around Foreman all night.

I can't get it why people have so little for lewis. Lewis beat every man he ever faced and he fought so many top men in their prime yet on here he gets so little respect I must be missing something.
Tell me how it is he has so little respect? is it because he has no real nationality and rather is a man of the world. I don't get it. I watched a yt video i posted here earlier and it ranked george 10th out of 20 of all time. Yet lewis wasn't even on the list.
how can that be? he beat every man he ever faced. people point out his klitschko fight but in that fight he was coming back in the middle rounds and he always found a way to win. I just don't get it. his two losses were just lucky punches,

Yea it's probably unfair. But being an ATG status gets diminished a touch when you get taken-out big time.

Whether the punches are lucky or not doesn't usually matter. To the populace a 'once great' drops quickly in prestige once they see him incapacitated. E.g. Tyson

Like you said it is unfair, and in Lewis's case he did avenge both loses by KO.

But the image of a KOed fighter staggering on rubber legs remains.

On the other hand Louis multiple KDs (save for the Schmeling I massacre, before he was champion) were usually quick KDs and the champion didn't look like a beaten fighter.

It took Marciano and Louis being 137 years old (Source: Frank Sinatra) before Louis looked beaten.

We forgave him that for his age; Lewis looked beaten (twice) when he was supposed to be at his best. The negavie image tends to linger and damages ATG status, unfairly.

you make good arguement but that talk about lewis having a glass jaw was always hanging over him. but willie look at his scalps. all men at their boxing prime he beat them seriously beat them up. How can he not even be in top 20 hw ever. Forman was knocked out and knocked down too, lewis has the reach height and weight advantages over younger foreman too, I just don't see how two knockouts is enough to put all those victories in the shade. If you watch the knockouts he was recovered pretty quickly too.

                - - You can deny that America, and indeed the world have a terrible addiction to drugs that have contaminated world waterways, killed millions, and wrecked the lives of millions more. We expect that from you, so it ain't personal, it's who you are.

Ali didn't turn pro with his Olympic coach, nor did SRR or SRL, and in fact I doubt you can find a single American fighter who did.

Go ahead and find where Sdunek coached the Klits in the 1996 Olympics. You can't, and you know it because he didn't. And to top it off, Vits wasn't in the Olympics because he was caught using steroids. The are facts, deal with it.
