I don't know if Tyson was weak or if it was lazyness, but he never seemed to display great physical strength. Punching power and strength are two diffirent things. Sometimes i just got pissed by watching it, come one! Push that fat slob away from you! Maybe he was just resting everytime? Tyson didn't impress me in most of his fights, but he did against a few strong men. Larry Holmes, Razor Ruddock, Tucker etc.

Trainers can also tell you "Don't waste your time, don't waste your strength in struggling when you can get the ref to break you up; it is only when the ref doesn't do **** that you wrestle out"
There is also a little secret to all the tie ups with Tyson. Just watch the fights, you should be able to catch on. It actually shows who has the strength.
Tyson got out the clinch when he wanted to, just like he did with Bruno and Biggs.
Lets just remember, in a fight, anything can happen.Last edited by Benny Leonard; 02-24-2007, 05:51 AM.

hello all, new to this forum, was reading with interest everyones opinions on the 'marciano vs tyson' debate. It reminded me of a little clip i saw on youtube about the underestimation of marciano's defensive skills, take a look, it makes a fair case.
youtube.com/watch?v=9b0yHvw-vW0&feature=related
AS for my two pence worth, well as much as i'd like to believe marciano would triumph, i just dont see it. i reckon boxing knowledge, training, techniques etc have moved on enough to make it an unfair contest, much as it would for jesse owens to race against a modern sprinter, i might be wrong.
anyway glad to meet you all.
