I definitely disagree, Lee fought all the best Asian Martial Arts experts when he had his studio in California, he also grew up fighting as a kid, & had to learn to fight, he was the original Mixed Martial Arts expert, he incorporated all fighting styles he thought would be useful, he supposedly never lost a fight against any of the Martial Art's experts he faced on the street & none were suppose to have lasted but a minute or couple of minutes, I read a book about his fighting & they said he was just too fast & powerful for any of his opponents, it was measured at the time, Joe Frazier's punch was 450lb. Lee's was 350 & he weighed much less, so with his speed, he could hit hard & often, so I believe on the street, he has a chance to kick Tyson in the legs, knees, head, arms & hurt him, or even take him down, boxers do not do well in the Octagon, why do you think, Tyson never attempted it.
And Bimbo Slice thought he could box & entered the octagon & a bum, run of the mill mixed martial art's guy beat him easily, also remember the Chinese Hulk, BOLO, he supposedly had been a huge street fighter in his time & that's what got him into movies, he reportedly challenged Lee during their Movie together & witnesses said it last less than 45 seconds, as Lee took him out with some well placed kicks & punches that were just too fast for him, so Lee was a fighter, he was the fastest puncher, possibly of all-time.

        I don't follow Amateur Boxing so I wouldn't know.

Nor do I like those kind of Film's he used to be in.

My thoughts on him as a fighter? Non existant. He wasn't one.

The guy that beat Slice didn't even have much of a career anyway. Slice later left after losing on The Ultimate Fighter to become a boxer. Also, Petruzelli, who TKO'd Slice, actually just retired this week.

I respect him for opening the doors to Asian actors in Hollywood, and shedding light on Asian culture to the west. That is all.

I think he was a short **** stuntman whose badassery is highly exaggerated by a sea of internet ******* who grew up on kung fu flicks and collect nunchucks, despite the fact that he'd never been in a real fight in his entire life, and the fact that he was, quite literally, KTFO'd by an asprin.

I also think threads about him don't belong in the 'boxing history' section.
