All the above beat a champion who was at the top of his game and all defeated No1 contenders something Lennox Lewis never achieved.

No, they did even worse by allowing themselves to be human-punching bags after they were shot. Lennox has only been down twice in his career, and that was from getting bored and dropping guard in fights he was winning. He paid the price and avenged both losses, so it doesnt matter.

. Lewis also proved that it isn't compulsory for every ATG heavyweight to get humiliated in their last fight(s)..
OK, Marciano went one better by keeping his O, but I'd say a prime Klitschko is a better win than a 39 year old Archie Moore.. Walcott was 38, Savold a 37 year old trial horse, Vingo a 16 fight novice, and Kid Matthews was a blown up MW etc.. Take a look at Holmes - Leon Spinks, Scott Frank, Marvis Frazier, Scott Le Doux, Tex Cobb, a brain damaged Ali.. And Dempsey, sparked in 1 round by Fireman Jim Flynn, had the worst of 4 fights with tubby LHW Willie Meehan and never fought a black contender..
Honestly, with the exception of Ali, you can rip the **** out of any resume and Lewis is no different, but if people can't give him credit for beating a guy who is still a dominant champion today, then something has to be seriously wrong..

Archie Moore is an ATG, higher than LL p4p, but no comparison at HW. Moore never beat a past present or future HW champ and thats a fact

sure,,marciano didnt have a great era to work with but he did do what lewis couldnt do. retire undefeated without getting knocked out (twice). I also thought mercer edged lewis and holyfield in there second fight. lewis has a good resume but its far from perfect

I never claimed Lennox was perfect, and I do rate Rocky over him, All-time. But as far as resume' goes, Lennox blows him out of the water, and its not even close.

Rocky has 6 title defenses in an era where guys fought a lot more than they do today. Lennox has 14. Lets look at the champs defenses...

Joe Walcott(age 39) 17 losses, was KO'd by old Joe Louis in the 1940's

Ezzard Charles-LHW recently KO'd by Walcott

Don ****ell -was Ko'd by a LHW and a Middleweight before facing Rock

So basically you have this prime 29-32 year old man fighting geezers and Light Heavyweights who all previously KO'd each other prior to facing the Rock. I still think Rocky is a great champ but Im just illustrating that you can be a jerk about anyones resume'.

What Lennox did to Vitali at age 37 would be the equivalent to Rocky fending off a Prime Sonny Liston in 1961. There are no David Tua's on Rocky's resume let alone Vitali Klitsckhos.

he wasnt winning the first fight with mcall. dont make excuses. he got caught and knocked out plain and simple. it doesnt matter? winning rematches helps but it doesnt erase the fact he was knocked out. he's 1-1 in fights with mcall and rahman
