so you critize wlad,holmes,vitali for fighting in a weak era,yet praise joe for fightig in a tough era and skipping out on 4 of its best contenders?help me out here cause im not seeing your logic

Skipping out you say? How is it skipping out when Ali and Foreman were bigger fights than any of the others? How is it skipping out when Jerry Quarry had beaten Lyle, Shavers and Mac Foster? Had Foster and Lyle beat Quarry they could have forced a Frazier fight. If he didn't fight them than, than calling it a duck would be much more reasonable. And finally...both Frazier and Norton were stable mates trained by the same man, Futch. Blaming Frazier for this fight not happening is like blaming the Klits for not fighting one another.

im not neccasirly holding the norton fight against him.that is somewhat understandable.but the equivalent of what your saying is this.why should floyd fight shane if he lost to cotto.your using the logic of well if a beats c,and B beats A then yuo skip the other guys and fight the winner.ive seen you crticize floyd for missing fights so im just calling a spade a spade

Hatton is a C fighter at best. Joe fought and beat ATG Ali. Hatton fought 2 ATG's and was utterly destroyed.

Nobody ever thought he belonged in the ring with Floyd or Manny anyway, but he was hyped up before the fight and people bought into it.

No, the logic I am using is that these guys had a chance to force a fight with Frazier but lost to someone Frazier beat on both occasions after they had lost, and than Joe moved on to fight better, tougher and more deserving fighters in Ali and Foreman. Do you disagree?

i agree that foreman ali were the best but frazier went 1-5 against those guys,so its also reasonable to think that 1 of those guys couldve gave frazier a good rumble with a possibility to win.

That has NOTHING to do with his resume and what names make it better. You've talked about what could have happened, Im talking about what really happened. You've tried to say Frazier's resume wasn't that good for this reason or that. I've shown why is is better than you think and have backed it up with facts.

Holmes didn't fight a whole host of fighters so you can get off that tip. And Mercer didn't beat either Lewis or Holy, and his resume isn't even close to Fraziers. Don't even get me started on the sorry ass resumes of either Klit brother.

As far as Quarry and Bonovena.....both were highly rated for years during the toughest heavyweight era in boxing. How mediocre do you really think they are? They weren't ranked by one alphabet group or another, they were universally ranked amongst the best. Do you really want to keep arguing this and losing credibility here?
