Flyweight, Featherweight, Lightweight and Welterweight. that's four right?

the divisions he didnt win. Bantamweight, Middleweight, Lt Heavyweight and Heavyweight.

He has claim at lightweight and Welterweight. Cotto is a legit win. Stop praising yourself.

is that not half of the original eight?
you idiot.....what do you think i was talking about??? we were talking about lineal championships....if you only count Pacquiao's lineal titles they would only amass to 2 division from the original 8

claims mean nothing when there are 5 championships in 17 weight classes.....to be fair to the fighters of the past who had to deal with 1 title in 8 divisions, when you are going to compare them to fighters of today, in this instance, Ezzard Charles and Manny Pacquiao....you have to be as fair as possible......if Pacquiao fought in Charles Era...he would only be a 2 division Champion

Charles resume is far better than Pacquiao`s resume But he never achieved as much in terms of titles won as did Pacquiao, there is no doubt about it that Pacquiao is a phenominal fighter and worthy of being labelled in the same bracket as Robinson & Armstrong... both Pacquiao & Charles are the stuff that legends are made of..
Same bracket as Robinson and Armstrong? Whoah I don't think PacMan is even the best fighter of his generation let alone a P4P Top 10 ATG. He is a great fighter but in order to be compared to SRR & Armstrong he needs to do quite a bit of work to his WW resume first. To be honest the way his fights are scheduled now makes me very skeptical of whether he has really improved since the last JMM fight or carefully selected opponents have hid some of his weaknesses but thankfully I think the Joshua Clottey fight will be a great benchmark to see how much he has improved.

                Fine. Just two lineal titles.

But do you not consider the Cotto win as a legit Welterweight title?

I think you may have forgot to list Teddy Yarosz as a HOF.

Pacquiao won the title for that fight so what do you think?
