Wow, that's a really good attempt at pushing the goal posts back knowing Walker-Flowers isn't on film. I can do you one better though. If the state commission changes how fights are scored (taking it out of the sole hand of the ref) than it's a robbery......absolutely.

Besides, what do you know about scoring fights? You're the guy who insisted Tyson won every round against Botha before finally landing the knockout punch.

Post Ring interviews indicate Ali was not going to give George a rematch, and in fact indicates that Ali was so beat up that he needed media assurances that he won the fight. Noteworthy that the media never challenged what looked like French Champagne Bottles brought into the ring for Ali's corner.

George Plimpton at ringside shouted out early in the first round that the fight was fixed. When I first saw the fight, I jumped up around the same time in the round and shouted George was drugged, so imagine my surprise that George stated that he had been drugged by Sadler who was mentored by Doc Kearns who was one of the sleaziest mgrs in boxing.

George was ready to rumble the next day. When he made his belated comeback with the Canadian 5 man exhibition, Ali was there screaming like a kicked school grrl that he ain't ever giving George a rematch, so hysterical that guards had to lead him back to his seat as the onerous Cosell in his ****** Yeller ABC Jacket moaned about the downfall of boxing he was aptly a part of.

Now, pray tell us what grade U was in then?
        Oh "a black oil man " that's a great source thanks!lol
I saw Ali give an exhibition in London a couple of weeks after the Foreman fight, apart from a bit of belly on him, he looked fine and made the European and British champion look like a mug.
If Foreman was," ready to rumble the next day,"how come it took him a year to get back in the ring?
You totally misinterpreted Plimpton.seeing Ali go back and lay on the ropes he thought the fight was fixed for Ali to go down! lol .
His," Oh Christ its a fix" was told to his companion Norman Mailer, all this can be found in Plimpton's excellent book Shadow Box.

Sometimes you amaze me,with all the wild tales you come out with, one would think , by the law of averages one of them must be true, but so far none have been! lol

          - - No tales. I'm educated whereas U pull opinions out of your arrears...

Ali screaming like a kicked school girl at Foreman's 5 man Canadian Exhibition that he ain't never gonna get a rematch.

Ali first bout back he got beat up as bad any man ever got beat up for peanuts. That would've been a Foreman walkover for $5 mil apiece...yup...jus da facts, ma'am...

Re Bold: I know, you know, that what Ali was doing, was the right thing for boxing. That's was Ali promoting the rematch.

I think Forman would have gotten the fight if Foreman hadn't quit. And Foreman might have actually hurt Ali if it happened after '77.

IMO Even if Ali had ducked the rematch, had Foreman stayed, he would have gotten a second shot.

            The Young loss was devastating.
