also between the Tunney and Ali KD, I would say Ali got caught cold - he didn't see the shot. Tunney, he got caught flush - but I believe he had some sort of anticipation of the shot coming which allowed him to clear his head quicker. Ali legitimately looked glassy eyed getting up, and his legs weren't sturdy as he walked to the corner.

Cooper,whom I had the pleasure of meeting several times at the fights when he was commentating ,was 6ft 1 1/2in tall.
I only once saw him fight live ,that was against Mildenberger,the German was not in the best of shape and fouled out with his head.
Cooper was stopped on cuts 4 times in55 fights
Against Uber Bacilieri clash of heads.Cooper had no stitches for the cut. Cooper kod Bacilieri in7 rds in the rematch.

If you look at some of the US fights and the cement that was applied to cuts to stop boxers losing,you can easily think there would have been a lot more tkos because of cuts.

EG Saad Muhammad v Conteh.Saad had illegal Monsel's Solution applied to his cuts,without it he may have been tko'd.The wicked stuff turns to cement in a cut and has to be chiseled out,if it gets into an eye it can cause permanent scarring.
